I'm waiting impatiently for the next chapter of this story in a way I haven't waited on a fic update in at least a decade. I'm in love with this series and you're writing. I have a limited understanding of life and social status/perceptions in England, but I do understand that Northern England is precieved in a similar fashion to how the South is precieved in America. And how you present Snape here is just... brilliant. It feel so very authentic. Then there's his taste in music which just makes so much sense i don't even know where to begin. There seems to be a trend in fanfic to make Snape well... posh? And based on what we see in cannon (especially the books) that is not at all the case. You manage to capture the nuances of his background in a way that is so rarely seen in fanfic. Anyway, I'm in love with this series and you're writing. Thank you so much for writing and sharing! Also, congratulations on the almost here new baby!
Great to have a continuation of G &L. I nearly went back to re-read it first but decided that it would be better to read this chapter and review befor I did that. i loved their conversation on the road and Harry's continued worry about car safety, quite rightly with our overcrowded roads. I presume Dumbledore has finally got round to looking into Harry's plight, well I suppose better late than never I suppose. thank you so much for starting this story and I hope all is going well with you and the babies. One point, not important but there you go, on the M6 you would not go past Newcastle.

Oh, who can that be? :D I'm so exited about this! A great start to your sequel! I was instantly immersed back into the fantastic world you created. The dialogues just feel so so realistic. I especially like it when Harry calls Snape "Severus", it's very cute. I meant to ask: how do you know of Tagalog? It's such an interesting language. I'm terribly sorry I didn't respond to them earlier: I only just learned that I could respond today lol In answer: my husband is half Filipino, and his family speaks a little bit of Tagalog at home (not really proper Tagalog. They just use some of the words for things). Mrs. Padiernos is based off of/inspired by his Filipina grandmother. They owned a restaurant called Rice Bowl several decades ago. Thanks too for the congratulations! Our daughter is doing great and we couldn't love her more!
Omg! I can't believe it! Coincidentally, I've reread Grease&Lightening over the last days after I finally found it again by pure chance. I knew I had read that fantastic story about Severus and young Harry and car rides full of rock music. But I'd forgotten the title and had no chance of finding it again until I stumbled upon it on the ffn potions and snitches community. Reading it the second time it was only better than the first. I love your story full stop. I love how you've portrayed Severus and Harry, I love their interactions, your plot, your writing style. It was just perfect! Also I love music so I have to check out all the songs too. I'm so so hyped to see you writing a sequel! And even if you didn't, G&L was already so amazing! You're a talented writer.
