Also ... Snapey, you aren't very good with people. Honestly. I think you really need to work on your people skills. Or, you know, your lack thereof.
"It would only be a matter of seconds before he was shoved away into some tiny space intended for soup cans and jarred peach preserves." You seem to have a talent for these lines that provoke both laughter and some other, darker emotion all at once. That's a very wry, amusing tone of voice, but poor Harry truly believes that Snape will stuff him in a cupboard - and really has no reason not to believe so.
(While you, me, and the rest of the world's Snape fans are perfectly certain of his inherent goodness, Harry is not.)

this chapter seems different than what I remembered. I love the descriptions you have now- they are really well done. The part about the horse statue was a little over done though and the writing style seems a little stepped back. I don't know how to explain it right other than it feels like we are watching what is happening instead of living what is happening. Does that make sense?
I love your Snape and how mysterious he is popping up in random times. The part where Harry went to open the dorr the first time and Snape was standing there was better the previous rewrite, it used to be more suspenseful. Great chapter!
Author's Response: Somtimes I go a little nuts on one item. :) Like the horse statue. I was almost going to have Harry accidentally break it at one point, but I didn't want Snape to want to murder him for ruining an heirloom. Maybe I can still put that in a later chappie, eh? Now that things between them are going to change... :)
the choice is to fight or to flight. In most causes I'd probably want to flight. hehe. I'm kinda chicken...:)
