Reviews For The Painful Guardianship

I really like your story, I am glad to see Harry having someone show him that they really care. I do not believe that spanking is abuse, snape has never abused Harry, he is just showing him right from wrong and how to control his emotions. Looking forward to your next chapter and the reactions of Ron and Hermione.
Well, I've finished your story up to this point, and I must say that I enjoyed reading it. Well done! I still stand by the things I said in my earlier reviews, but all in all this has been a great read. I look forward to updates, and I hope you are still writing. Cheers
Hehe, well, I just read that English was not your first language, so that explains why the kids don't always sound like themselves. You have a GREAT story here though, so I'd suggest finding someone to beta it and make the kids sound more like themselves. They wouldn't be changing anything about your story, just the speech itself. Doing great though, keep up the brilliant work.
Hey! First off, I wanted to say that so far I am really enjoying your story and I like where it seems to be going. It does seem a trifle odd that Harry and Snape have come to accept each other so quickly, but for purposes of getting the story moving I can see why you've written it that way. My only critique is that the kids don't talk like kids. Ron and Harry especially don't sound like you write them. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is, but you don't seem to use many contractions for one thing, and I think that in the books they do. Little things like that. I.e. The kids are *saying* what they might say in the books, but they're saying it differently, if that makes any sense. Anyway, great story so far, and I look forward to reading some more of it when I have time. I can't wait to see how Harry's summer at Snape's goes.
Cheers
