Two weeks feel like a year.
Hogwarts has always been home. He's always felt safe before.
Now the feeling of safety doesn't extend past the Slytherin common room.
He's taken to visiting the library under his Invisibility Cloak, like he used to when he needed to get into the Restricted Section.
That's how the castle seems to him. One big Restricted Section.
"You could just ask," Malfoy says reproachfully. "I'd go with you."
"I know."
"Don't I look out for you?"
The one time he didn't, Harry came to breakfast with a black eye.
"So just ask me, next time."
