Final Note 6 - June 2018:

Although it has already been a long time since I have posted or updated anything, it is time to make it official.

I will no longer be writing fanfiction.

I haven't come to this decision because I have run out of ideas or inspiration for my current works - to the contrary, I have put a lot of thought and planning into each of them. Even now, the moments and scenes I had planned live happily in my head. The issue becomes the fact that I have limited free time, so I must choose how to spend it. This is why there have so often been extremely long breaks between updates. In turn, this becomes unfair to readers, as I know that they often have limited free time as well and it is very easy to forget the plot of a story that wasn't born within your own head (and sometimes even then!).

Now, I know many of you would continue to wait for updates. We lovers of fanfiction are tenacious that way. However, since my free time is limited, I have decided that my focus needs to be on my original works.

In that spirit, though a part of me is saddened, I hereby abandon all my current works-in-progress. I will not be updating them again. However, I also open my stories up for adoption, should anyone be interested in continuing them in my stead. (Though, to be clear, I don't honestly think anyone would, but) I ask only that I be credited and that no large portions of my work, incomplete or no, be copied by another (so please link/direct readers back to my work if you continue it).

I've had such a great time in this fandom. Thanks to all who've helped keep the magic alive!

Summary: Harry has a new pet - or maybe it's not even Harry's pet, but that of somebody else. Either way, said pet is making a proper nuisance of itself. What's Harry to do when it starts getting him in trouble with Snape?


* It can be any sort of pet you desire; dog, cat, magical, canon (i.e. Crookshanks), otherwise

* The pet's owner should be extremely attached to it, despite its naughtiness

* It can be a pet that isn't technically allowed at Hogwarts

* Bonus if the pet gets into mischief generally not attributed to its species (i.e. a cat chewing on shoes)

* NO (intentional) harm must come to the animal. Threats against its well-being perfectly acceptable, so long as they're not carried out

What if Severus' best friend had not been Lily, but James? How would this vital difference effect not only Severus himself, but how he responds to James' son?

~ Severus' relationship with Lily is up to you, but he must have known James first and have been closer to him

The Lupin-Snapes by Dream Painter

Summary: Write a tale in which Snape, Lupin, Harry, and Draco come to be a family in some way. Obviously, some responses to this challenge will be slash (however, this is not necessary).

Suggestions:

~For some reason, Snape, Lupin, Harry, and Draco have to pose as a family. Likely none of them are entirely pleased about this. (Think: We're the Millers)
~Snape and Lupin team together platonically to look after the boys in some way
~Snape, Lupin, Harry, and Draco all find themselves in a situation where they are siblings in some capacity
~Molly Weasley/another Order member/Hogwarts staff has decided that Snape has been alone quite long enough and knows the perfect person for him. (Alternatively, he/she/they have tired of seeing Lupin alone, so forth, yada)
~Harry and Draco decide to team up to unite their parent figures/mentors/guardians/favorite professors (Think: The Parent Trap)
~Harry and/or Draco finds himself in charge of two de-aged professors; the other insists on helping for whatever reason
~Any other scenario you can think of (I could go on for some while, so it's really best I stop, now...)
