Summary: I literally just want a story where Harry wants to be a healer. So it's during his years at Hogwarts. Which year is up to you. Id prefer if it wasn't something that everybody knew-- Harry deserves to have something that the whole world doesn't know and judge him for! I'd also prefer if it was a Severitus or Sevitus. Whether Snape knows or not about Harry wanting to be a healer is up to you.
IDEAS:
* Harry could be working with Pomfrey or interning at st. Mungo's or someplace nobody even knows about
* Maybe Dumbledore knows about Harry's aspirations and lets Harry floo to that place on the weekends so he can volunteer there
* Maybe something big happens and it's revealed that Harry has a good bit of healing knowledge (if this happen, I'd prefer if it didn't end up with a bunch of Ron whining about Harry not being an auror with him because honestly, I think Ron would be the absolute worst Auror ever anyway and it's really just cause Ron knows if Harry is with him, he can skate into an auror position)

Summary: Snape has no or very little magic. This is why he put all his focus onto potions during his own Hogwarts years; he never wanted to be the laughingstock when people realized he was basically a squib. Now, as a professor, he can get away with intimidating students and the only magic he needs to do publicly is light a fire under a cauldron.

- Maybe Snape created a potion that temporarily gives him a magic boost for when he knows he's going to need to do something big in public
- Think about how does Harry find out? He's not the type to use it against Snape or to spread it around but Snape definitely wouldn't trust Harry to keep it to himself. So how does Snape deal with Harry Potter of all people knowing his most personal secret?

And he knew it all because he was sorted into Slytherin and Snape has both a vow to protect Harry with his life and a duty to care for his snakes...
So Snape tells Harry basically everything. Where do they go from there?
Suggestions:
Think about how Harry will feel. Is he betrayed? Is he still just grateful to be out of the Dursleys' house? Is he angry?
Think about Snape. He's lied to Voldemort, he can certainly keep Dumbledore from finding out that he told Harry the truth. But where does Snape go from here? Did he plan to tell Harry or was it spur of the moment? Does he have a plan for how to protect Harry from both sides of the war?
Think about Voldemort. Does Harry *really* have a reason to fight him? As of 1st year, Harry doesn't know a thing about his parents except what people can tell him about that night. Does it really hurt him so much that he wants to go fight some madman? If you still want Harry to fight Voldemort, develop it. Don't let it just be because everyone says he's a dark lord and he killed Harry's parents that Harry doesn't even remember. Have things actually happen over a period of time that actually makes sense for harry to want to go up against Voldemort.

Summary: Dudley is also a freak! Harry can do magic, but what happens when their precious Dudders also starts making weird stuff happen? Only rules are Dudley MUST be treated the same way Harry is treated (no nice dursleys either; canon or worse-- they cant suddenly be okay with wizards or abnormal things). Harry isn't alone in his cupboard anymore (metaphorically speaking or literally, up to you). Do the dursleys hide both away and pretend they dont have any kids? Do they put them both in an orphanage? Does Vernon divorce petunia for having a magical child? When they go to Hogwarts, how does dudley take it knowing his cousin is famous and he's considered a mud blood? Does harry stick with dudley? Is Dudley still a bully at all? Do the dursleys even allow dudley to attend Hogwarts in the first place? Just a few bits to think on as you write

Summary: On the movie Jumanji, Martha gains the ability to dance fight. We learned canonically that Severus Snape is a good dueler. 1 + 1 = dance dueling! Make dancing a part of dueling and make Severus Snape excel at it! And of course the BWL needs to learn this art of defense. Maybe have snape teach it during the year he teaches DADA or maybe have Lockhart set it up 2nd year like he did the dueling club. However or whenever you like, I just want to see Snape dance-duel! bonus if he's a snob lol and imagines classical music while dueling whereas harry imagines rock music or something

How dare Harry James Potter ask her if she could have her parents fix her teeth because they were getting even bigger and it was hard for him to not laugh?! I mean, how rude of that boy!" 🙃😃

The little idiot had just barged into Snapes office and requested, nigh demanded, Severus Snape be nice to him! What in the blazes is going on?!"

Summary: Basically, Lily and James Potter did not die that night in Godrics Hollow. Instead, they assumed their muggle aliases: Petunia and Vernon Dursley.

It's up to you whether Lily ever had a real sister named Petunia (maybe she did and Petunia died or maybe she never had a sister in the first place)
It's up to you if Sirius and Remus and Dumbledore ever knew about Lily and James' escape plan or if they didn't trust anyone and kept it a secret.
There should be no cupboard or starvation or abuse of course. But the caveat is, these "Dursleys" still want to be normal. They can't imagine letting the wizarding world (and Voldemort) find out they and Harry are Still alive. But they've gone a lot of years without using magic-- what can they do to stop whats coming?
So what happens when Dumbledore sends snarky Professor Snape to give Harry his Hogwarts letter at 11 and make sure he knows he's meant to attend?
** could be a fun one shot or a full story if you like. Just an idea that flew into my head. Snape and Harry must be in the story obviously but I don't care what kind of relationship you give them

Summary: Something in Harry's childhood awoke his abilities as Master of Death (decide for yourself how-- did James collect all the hallows but not know how to make them work or whatever?). Harry enters Hogwarts knowing he's basically indestructible. Show us how it goes!

Summary: Harry Potter gets fed up with being demonized, both in person by the Dursleys and the kids at school as well as in ink by Skeeter and her ilk. So he creates an anonymous editorial; you can have him print it in the Daily Prophet if you want (as long as its somewhere that it gets loads of attention). The thing is, this new writer has such a scathing tongue that even Severus Snape likes to read his new posts every morning at breakfast. This new writer is calling out everyone -- from Fudge and his cowardice to Dumbledore and his manipulations. And every morning at breakfast in the Great Hall, a pair of green eyes gleefully take in the reactions to his written take downs. Maybe Harry Potter cant stand up for himself in person by telling the wizarding world how ridiculous it is, but (insert pen name) certainly can.
