I was introduced to Harry Potter when my son brought the first book home from his school library many years ago.  I'd been writing Star Wars fanfic-type stories for my kids and they soon had me doing the same with Harry Potter.  My background and education is in Journalism, though I currently own my own business and do mainly technical writing. I pubished my first HP fanfics on Fanfiction.net and several readers recommended posting to this site, which I do frequently follow.
