Desperate to escape his guilt and nightmares after the third task, Harry transforms into a hawk by accident and ends up breaking both wings and suffering partial memory loss. He is found by Snape, and while the professor nurses him back to health discovers the truth about Severus and who are really his friends and enemies at Hogwarts.

Great, I wanted her to meet her end differently and Azkaban just wouldn;t do it, considering who she knows in the Ministry. She might have gone in and come out two days later. So . . .it was death by Stymphalian Bird.

- Poor Harry! I knew there was a reason I wasn't a teracher. Although at one point I wanted to teach Spanish & French.

Kids! They really CAN drive you over the edge.
I had a hard enough time teaching English, so God only knows what I would have been like teaching a different language. Though I might not have minded latin, since no one could correct your pronunciation too much. But my cousin teaches Spanish to high school sophomores and doesn;t mind it . . .sometimes.

- You go Harry! As much as I like Sirius someone has needed to take him down a peg for ages. Just as a side note...I don't remember Kreacher actually helping much in OoTP, but heck it's your story...
Author's Response: Yes that's for sure and it's better coming from Harry, it'll have more of an impact. Kreacher was ordered to help by Sirius, so he did, since he is bound to obey him.

- A Gila Monster? Not what I expected. To bad they didn't throw him through the veil. Poor Sirius, I think all in all I;d rather go through the veil and "die" instantly then be crazy.
Author's Response: Good, I didn't want Voldy's form to be obvious. Even if they had, he still could have come back, since he made the Horcruxes. Sirius is in for a rough time, but he'll have help soon. Thanks as always!

- I like fierce protective paternal Sev. I can see that it was hard for him to figure out how to offer Harry the comfort he needed, but in the end he was perfect :-)

- I want to jump around, pumping my fist in the air chanting "Go Harry! You told him!" I think it came out better than the discussion in OOTP, becasue while he did lose it a little, overall he kept him compsure very well, and showed a maturity that I think helped Dumbles see that he wasn't "just" a kid anymore.
Author's Response: That's what I was hoping for, since in this story, Harry has matured more than in canon and learned from Severus how to control himself better. And that did go a long way towards showing Albus that he could make sound decisions and act like an adult and not a child.

As for Sev, ruthless is an apt description for him when he chooses to be so.
