I just could identify with Severus' dislike of Christmas so much :D I just want to celebrate peacefully too. It was really sweet of Harry to give a present to his mean professor. I wonder how their relationship would develop?
I loved Severus reading and becoming so absorbed that he jumped out of his skin :) This shows you're not an amateur writer no matter what you say ;)

Omg! I can't believe it!
Coincidentally, I've reread Grease&Lightening over the last days after I finally found it again by pure chance. I knew I had read that fantastic story about Severus and young Harry and car rides full of rock music. But I'd forgotten the title and had no chance of finding it again until I stumbled upon it on the ffn potions and snitches community.
Reading it the second time it was only better than the first. I love your story full stop. I love how you've portrayed Severus and Harry, I love their interactions, your plot, your writing style. It was just perfect! Also I love music so I have to check out all the songs too.
I'm so so hyped to see you writing a sequel! And even if you didn't, G&L was already so amazing! You're a talented writer. Thanks for your amazing work :)

I'm so exited about this! A great start to your sequel! I was instantly immersed back into the fantastic world you created. The dialogues just feel so so realistic. I especially like it when Harry calls Snape "Severus", it's very cute.
I meant to ask: how do you know of Tagalog? It's such an interesting language.
Congratulations on giving birth and welcome you new little human being! I hope everything is going well for you and your family :)

I'm terribly sorry I didn't respond to them earlier: I only just learned that I could respond today lol In answer: my husband is half Filipino, and his family speaks a little bit of Tagalog at home (not really proper Tagalog. They just use some of the words for things). Mrs. Padiernos is based off of/inspired by his Filipina grandmother. They owned a restaurant called Rice Bowl several decades ago. Thanks too for the congratulations! Our daughter is doing great and we couldn't love her more!

I loved it!
I liked your characterisation of Dumbledore and how Severus and Harry both stood up to him. As a reader this really gives you a feeling for the developing relationship between these two.
And I simply adored your Severus beeing so protective of Harry like sending him to the kitchen to get the milk or giving him this one side glance before he said that the Dursleys abandoned him. It's so good! Thank you :)

Nice chapter although with a not so nice topic. I hope something will work out for Severus jobwise because the pressure of not having enough money is just so bad :(
I liked Harry's and Severus' interaction, Severus being all sweet and shy about sharing his money problems with Harry because he feels responsible to provide for Harry. Very sweet. And then Harry who's determined to stand by Severus and find a solution with him. Also very sweet! :)
The first time he hears it, he thinks it is just the October night wind wailing at the gates, mournful.
When he hears it next, two weeks later, he wonders again if he is not imagining it. A warm thrumming, a metal thwang, three minors capped with a major.
He stares at his nails when his fingers give a warm jolt, the traitors. From high above, a single note echoes, vibrates.
Magnificent.
