About me:

Caramello was the name that a kid from my first grade class called me, as my real name is pronounced Kara (not Kira) and is just spelled differently. No one has called me that since, but I have a fondness for the candybar regardless :)

There's not much to say about me other than I clearly love reading these stories. I tend to lean towards child-stories or stories where Snape adopts Harry. Biological father is cool too, but it's always irriated me (I'm not sure when) when Harry has glamour charms removed. I inevitiably still think of him as looking like I always pictured him to. Any and all story suggestions are welcome my way - I'm always searching for something new that I can read and love while waiting for the next chapter in other well-loved series.

I used to write a lot, but haven't written so much in the last few years, and nothing that is able to be posted on this site - however, I love the editing process as well, and I'm one of Aspeninthesunlight's beta's, and I'm willing to look over anything anyone would like me to. I do have a tendency to speak my mind and pick through stories pretty thoroughly, so if you tend to be sensitive about constructive criticism, I might not be your ideal beta.

GRRRRRRRRRR. It cut off EVERYTHING after:

    *Nearly chokes*

So here I go again, lol.

I'm so sad that this is the ending! I had to drag out reading the last chapter, into this morning just so I could enjoy it all before it finished :) But I'm really excited for what else you have in store for us :D

I hope that Charlie and Severus continue to have mutual respect for each other once Sev becomes his Potions professor and all. It would be terrible if his influence in Harry's life was in jeapordy just because Severus can't keep his comments to himself, lol.

All in all though, it was a very sweet ending to your story. I hope that Harry is finally at that point where he can clearly see where is place in Severus's life is now. Poor child. Lol. But he's progressed so much, I can't feel too sorry for him anymore.

I can't wait to see what else you have to share with us!

The summer after 5th year, Death Eaters find Harry abandoned in the Dursley house and bring him to Voldemort. Will one particular Death Eater give up his position and his hate to save his enemy's child? Eventual Snape mentors Harry fic.

*Jumps up and down* There will be a sequel! YAAAY!

*Gains composure again... for the most part* How scary! I couldn't even imagine not being able to wake someone up. Though, I think it might be more frightening to not be able to wake up. I've had experiences where I was so exhausted I literally couldn't even twitch, and it scared the sh*t out of me, I would have to force myself to fall back asleep, and then could get up a few hours later, but yeah... Scary stuff. Anyway, that has to be the most excruciating pain ever. I can't even fathom my skin moving around like that. It gives me the heebie-jeebies just thinking about it. I'm really glad Dumbledore was there with him, though. Who knows what would have happened otherwise? In any case, I hope he wakes up sooner than later. I don't think Harry could take it if it took him some time... Poor guy.

    Looking forward to more!

GAH. I read your other story last night and decided to give this one a go as well. Man. I'm glad to see they're away from Topsham Manor, but all the same... Good Lord, what a thing to go through.

I hope to see more soon - hope Harry gets all his sight back, and that Severus isn't punished too badly for his true allegiances. :(

    Great job as always,

    Keira

You are spoiling me, you are. All I have to do is check the site before I go to work and before I go to bed, and you seem to always have an update. I'm in hurt/comfort heaven. Lol.

It's a terrible thing what Harry went through, but I'm glad you're having Snape handle it with as much maturity as he is. I don't think (book-wise) he'd ever taunt him about it, but I'm fairly certain he'd still ridicule him and put him down every chance he got, in the future - but I'm glad to know (at least I THINK) this isn't going in that direction.

    Great job again :D

    Keira

Author's Response: I can't make any promises that Snape won't be a complete a** from time to time, 'cause, well, he's Snape, but no, this fics not going that way, overall.  Thanks for the review!

How very interesting. Poor Harry. Seriously, what a terrible thing to go through. I'm glad Severus got some sort of response from him - I'm surprised after such a long comatose-like state, Dumbledore didn't insist, or take him to St. Mungo's himself, but it still seems to work nonetheless :)

    Good job!

    Keira

Author's Response: Hi Kiera,  Thanks!  Yeah, I considered having Snape worry about that -- like he might need to send Harry away after all -- but figured I'd wait till another chapter to mention that.

Ooooh. Very interesting! Harry with no memory past leaving the Dursleys', and conversing in Parsletongue with Voldy. Man, poor kid. A pretty interesting twist though.

I get the feeling you have several chapters written ahead of what you're posting, lol. Smart girl. Though, having to wait until Monday... after daily updates for so long... I dunno... ;) Jk. What's three days, right? I'm sure Whelp will be updated and keep me entertained in the meantime, lol. ;)

    Good job!

    Keira

    Author's Response:

Alas, I don't have chapters written ahead, but I know in my mind the plot thingies for a bunch of it.  I'm working on a new chap for Whelp, actually, right now, and will start a new one for Shadows when I finish it . . . or maybe I should write a couple ahead before I post anything more . . . JK!

    Thanks for the review!

Haha, Harry throwing a fit. That's awesome. Snape took it surprisingly well... well, he at least didn't have a complete cow at it. I guess you'd get used to it after a while, but I'd be one to yell right back. Interesting that Snape brought up that he could break the cup. Lol. You would think he'd forbid it, but I guess considering the circumstances it's understandable. I also wonder if Voldy is gone from his mind for good. Poor Harry doesn't ever seem to get a break from that @$$hole. Lol.

    Keira

Author's Response: Thanks for the review!  Yeah, Snape is trying to be understanding, but he realizes how purgative a bit of destruction can be.  And he did yell . . . a bit.  :-)

Uncle Vernon is such a ...GAH! What a terrible thing to do to a kids pet. That's just awful - though I do like the way you incorporated her death into the story. My heart hitched when he mourned her death in canon.

So, I'm gathering that Snape's - promise - to arrange for other accomidations would mean St. Mungos? Not because he can't handle an out of control teen, but because he thinks Harry may need the help? Psychologically?

Great chapter. Gotta love the hurt/comfort stuff :D

    Keira

    Author's Response:

Hi Kiera,  thanks for the review!  I should have a new chapter out on the weekend, if all goes as planned.  Yes, I will be more explicit about what they're "discussion of rules" was in the next chapter, but Snape did indeed threaten him with St. Mungo's, if he didn't promise to obey them, and purely for Harry's own safety.  And yes, I think I was almost as upset about Hedwig dying as I was about . . . other people who figure prominently in my fic.  *sigh*  Consider it my small revenge, to have them here.

Lol, go Harry! I think. Lol. Poor Snape with his broom sickness and all. He sure puts up with a lot from Harry. I'm not entirely sure I'd possess so much patience myself, and to think this is the boy he's loathed for so long. Lol. I love it all. Can't wait for the next installment :)

Author's Response: Tomorrow.  And yes, Harry and Sev will be "having words" about this little stunt, no worries.  I can hardly kill off one of my main characters, can I?  :-)

Haha. "Good." I love your Snape. He's so classic. I'll admit I was confused about what had happened with the broom accident. I couldn't tell - at the end of the last chapter - if it was he or Harry that was falling, and then with this it took me awhile to figure out why he'd fallen in the first place *Shakes head*. Of course it all makes sense, lol. I was just not bright enough to see it at first.

Good job! Can't wait for more :)

    Keira

Author's Response: I'm glad it all makes sense now . . . make sure to let me know if you need clarification, though.  And thanks for the review!
