About me:

Caramello was the name that a kid from my first grade class called me, as my real name is pronounced Kara (not Kira) and is just spelled differently. No one has called me that since, but I have a fondness for the candybar regardless :)

There's not much to say about me other than I clearly love reading these stories. I tend to lean towards child-stories or stories where Snape adopts Harry. Biological father is cool too, but it's always irriated me (I'm not sure when) when Harry has glamour charms removed. I inevitiably still think of him as looking like I always pictured him to. Any and all story suggestions are welcome my way - I'm always searching for something new that I can read and love while waiting for the next chapter in other well-loved series.

I used to write a lot, but haven't written so much in the last few years, and nothing that is able to be posted on this site - however, I love the editing process as well, and I'm one of Aspeninthesunlight's beta's, and I'm willing to look over anything anyone would like me to. I do have a tendency to speak my mind and pick through stories pretty thoroughly, so if you tend to be sensitive about constructive criticism, I might not be your ideal beta.

    You're going to kill me here. Lol. Not only do I have enough trouble keeping up with TWO stories lately, now there's a third one to contend with? ;)

    I'm really liking it so far. I've always had a very specific visual of what it would be like if Harry had been sorted into Gryffindor, and so far you're living up to everything I've pictured, so that's got me fairly excited.

    Can't wait for more, even if it does take a week!

    Yet another excellent chapter. It really astounds me that you can pump out chapter after chapter on three different stories as often as you do. Even with the ability to write during work hours. Your dedication is just... well, very clearly adored by all of us :)

    So THAT'S how Snape gets around the castle so fast, huh? I like it. He really takes his job of Head of House seriously. I must admit, I'd dread having him for a Head over McGonagal, but hey... I guess you'd learn more discipline his way, for sure. I'm just one of those stubborn people hell-bent on not following specific rules unless I know I'll be in deep do-do, in which case I at least pretend to follow them. But it'd be hard to hide from magical evidence. Lol. Poor Harry.

    Can't wait for the update :D

    I like the idea of alternating POV's every once in a while, but not for each chapter. That could get pretty old after a while, lol. I enjoyed seeing where Snape was coming from on this first day back, however. Makes things much clearer. I still don't quite get how he was half asleep while yelling at Harry, lol, but I can see how he thinks he gave him the bruise. And that moment of guilt... PERFECT.

    Infected scar? YUCK. But a neat touch all the same. Can't wait for more :D

    Author's Response: Yeah, I don't know if the POV shift thing will work for the whole story, but I thought I'd try it out for a while anyway.  If it gets too cumbersome, I trust folks to let me know if I haven't guessed it already, and I'll give it up quick.  :-)  Thanks for the feedback!

    How absolutely humiliating! And to think Hogwarts is supposed to be his refuge! I would start bawling on the way back to the dorms. End of story. I would wonder what the heck I'd gotten myself into and when I could go back to my miserable life with the Dursleys. How so very sad for Harry. *Sniff*

    Darn that Snape. He'll be soooo ashamed of himself in time! And I'll be happy when he finally realizes how badly Harry needs help and care. Oh, but I do love this Sevitus/Severitus world. Lol.

    I want a creamsicle now. Well, no... a fudgcicle. But anything would do really. Lol.

    I agree with both of you - I don't think it's too early, considering the amount of interaction the two have had. I do have to say, that I'm glad he's having Harry serve his detention in the infirmary as opposed to doing something else - since he clearly doesn't want to go (and who could blame him?), in Severus's eyes it would be the perfect punishment, and at the same time they'll discover more things about him.

    Now I seriously cannot wait for the next few chapters. I'm ready to drop onto my knees and beg you to keep up with your frequent updating. I have been looking forward to what happens in this next chapter, since the whole speculation of his abuse came up.

    Can't blame the kid for being scared. Now I wanna see the scene where Snape visits the Dursleys, lol. That should be highly interesting.

    I liked how you made Harry just reluctant enough that it was darn clear he didn't want to be there, but that he wasn't going to throw a major hissy fit to get out of there. I like the looks on Snape's face too. He tries so hard to be unreadable... lol.

    I'm enjoying the double POV scenes, but more so when it's like this and it's only overlapping just a bit, and not the whole thing. The whole chapter overlap can be good for intriguel chapters, but for the most part, I like to see the story progress further into the plot as opposed to needing to see in exact detail what the other is thinking. But I'm still liking it, don't get me wrong :)

    I like that Severus is still conflicted about Harry. Still confused on what to make or think of him. I'm glad he's got his situation pinpointed and that he's no longer thinking him a pampered prince, but I can't wait for him to stop thinking irritable thoughts in his direction. Of course, it's realistic and I'm enjoying the inner conflict... I just long for the day :D

    Author's Response: Hi Caramello, thanks for the review!  Yeah, I think I'm only going to overlap pov a little; it was getting too weird to have nearly whole chapters repeat.  Besides, I can throw tidbits in about their differing thoughts about the same situations into later chapters, without repeating big chunks.  On Severus' attitude . . . I don't see him ever not thinking irritable thoughts about, well everyone.  He's kind of an irritable guy.  ;-)  Thanks again for the feedback!

    One of these days I'm gonna take you up on your promises -- and I'll gain x-amount of weight, but I'll be happy with all my eclairs, and cocoa, and frappaccinos, so I think I'll be okay ;)

    I really enjoyed this chapter. I'm still not sure of Severus's movitive behind being a git to Harry, even though he's starting to see Harry for who he really is (well, kinda) and that he's a damaged child. But, I still liked it. Very Snape. So good for you for keeping in character!
