- Did the first chapter start in the middle of the first year? I forgot, or rather, didn't notice, that it was a first year fic. I usually notice those things, but I have a good excuse for that. :P

Author's Response: No, Draco didn't hear them. Snape's privacy charms were good enough to prevent that. Draco did, however, hang around outside hoping to taunt Harry afterwards. When he sees Snape practically dragging Harry along by the ear, he's gleeful. Harry Potter in trouble? Draco's delighted.
