- Hmm my guess for the shifter's identity is Malfoy. Goyle is there and him and Crabb were always loyal to Malfoy so maybe it could be him. Great chapter and I really like your constant updates!

- Snape's punishment was fiting. It wasn't overly harsh, especially since Gavin had sort of been punished already with everything he went though.
Author's Response: yes, you're absolutely right, after all he'd been tortured by bloody Draco and he'd also suffered with the knowledge that he'd killed someone with his magic.

Author's Response: yeah, he really wanted to help him, since he felt guilty about not noticing Harry needed help when he was in school and Harry needs a mentor/father figure.
