When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story. Alternate 6th summer (and part of the school year): post-OotP; ignores HBP and DH. Author's Response: Thank you! I guess we'll have to see about the Dursleys, won't we? But I don't think you'll have too many more chapters to read before finding out the answer to that question...
Author's Response: Thanks. Snape totally needs a wake up call re: Harry, don't you think?
Author's Response: Thanks. Haha! Poor Harry, can't he ever escape from those weeds?
Author's Response: Thanks for the "excellent!" I like words like that! :) Did he scream for real? Was it another part of his dream? Hmm... I'll try to update as soon as I can, I promise!
These last two chapters have been soooo good! I think the best so far! Keep up the great work! Author's Response: Aw! You know, it's amazing when writing a story, I wait anxiously after posting every chapter to see how it will be recieved. So far there have mainly been sighs of relief coupled with squeals of glee... Like when I read "soooo" and know you mean it. hehe, thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I planned this originally as a summer-only fic (didn't want to overwhelm myself - my first story and all), but as of now, I have an entire schoolyear plot mapped out in my head. So in answer to your question, um...I don't really know yet. :\\ At the pace I'm going (11 chapters to tell what, 3 days?) and my determination to finish what I start, I don't want to overcommit myself. Whichever way I ultimately decide to go, I promise to bring the story to a proper conclusion, hopefully to your satisfaction!
Author's Response: Yes, sometimes I'm really glad I never had potions as a subject in school...or Snape as a professor. *shudder* Poor Harry... Thanks for reviewing!!
Author's Response: If Snape had his way (and if it were legal), I think instead of having Harry cut up potions ingredients all summer, he might use Harry as a main ingredient. But that's just my impression... ;) Maybe he'll come around...or maybe not... Keep posted! And thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Thanks! I was worried about the dream sequence being too confusing. Still worried, actually, but moving on to the next chapter, which is a lot more straightforward... ;) Thanks for the review. |
