When Harry finds an injured Snape on his doorstep and must hide him from the Dursleys, he has no idea that this very, very bad day will be the start of something good.
Harry and Snape are thrown together by annoying relatives, a series of strange dreams, and Voldemort's latest hunt for Harry, but their greatest challenge may well be surviving each other. This will be a long summer unless the two can find a way to work together. A slow-burn enemy-to-mentor story.
Alternate 6th summer (and part of the school year): post-OotP; ignores HBP and DH.

- Great ending with Harry tormenting him with his lovely manners. Are the Dursley's going to find out about Snape?

- Excellent chapter. Thier discussion turned out well for both of them and was very informative. Snape said the wards extend to the edge of the property...Does that mean Harry has to weed the garden now? :P Keep up the excellent writing and I look forward to reading more soon!

- Cool chapter! It sounds like Remus thinks Snape caused Harry's injuries. I was wondering when Harry would find the perfect moment to use the WWW Wall Watcher thingand now I really wanna find out what he's going to hear! :)

- Wonderful chapter! Last few days have been pretty rough for Harry but now that he's finally away from the Dursley's, everything will be better. Just out of curiosity, how far do you plan to go with this story? Like into the school year and so on or just a summer fic?

I planned this originally as a summer-only fic (didn't want to overwhelm myself - my first story and all), but as of now, I have an entire schoolyear plot mapped out in my head. So in answer to your question, um...I don't really know yet. :\\ At the pace I'm going (11 chapters to tell what, 3 days?) and my determination to finish what I start, I don't want to overcommit myself. Whichever way I ultimately decide to go, I promise to bring the story to a proper conclusion, hopefully to your satisfaction!

- A lovely chapter! Poor Harry had to spend most of the night disembowling frogs. That must have been a lovely task. I hope there's more soon cuz this is an excellent story!

- Great chapter! I'm glad Harry got to see his friends in person rather than always owling them. Is Snape going to make him cut up potions ingredients for the rest of the summer or something?
Author's Response: If Snape had his way (and if it were legal), I think instead of having Harry cut up potions ingredients all summer, he might use Harry as a main ingredient. But that's just my impression... ;) Maybe he'll come around...or maybe not... Keep posted! And thanks for the review!

- Wow that was an excellent long chapter. The dream sequence in the beginning was weird since he couldn't wake up but atleast Snape helped him out. Keep up the great writing!
