- This story is shaping up really nicely.
After Harry is caught for exploding a cauldron in 2nd year Potions, Snape insists he keep a firm hand on the boy he must secretly protect. However, he discoveres that there is more to the twelve year old than unruliness and disrespect. Similarly, Harry learns from and gains a new perspective of his professor.

- I can't remember if I reviewed last time I read this. (I also don't remember the last few chapters, which makes me think I was reading it and my kids messed with my computer and I lost it.) I really enjoy this story. Snape's voice is incredibly well-done. And Harry's attitude is perfect.
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you like Harry's attitude. I try not to make him too overly emotional, but let's face it...he's quite the angsty kid. lol. I appreciate the review :)
Harry receives a very special gift on his 16th birthday that leads him to the help he needs...Snape is finding respite from his growing pressures and discovers one in need of help. Despite himself, he finds he CAN grow close to another living being. Only..."everything would've been so much simpler if it'd actually been a cat"...
