About me:

I've been reading fanfiction for years, and I've written a few pieces in other fandoms, as well as some drabbles and ficlets for the HP fandom, but mostly I have been a reader. For the Boy Who Has Everything is my first attempt at a full-length fic. Three Times Trouble is a response to my sudden inexplicable enjoyment of kidfic.

My favorite characters are Remus Lupin, Severus Snape, Sirius Black, Neville Longbottom, and the elder two Weasley children, Bill and Charlie (whom we just don't see enough of, unfortunately). Many of the younger characters became more interesting to me as they grew older.

I like to theorize about how things work, especially things that aren't well explained in the books. Such as:

- How and why does a Patronus take the shape it does, when a wizard first learns the spell? How would a Patronus change its shape (e.g.; Tonks' and Snape's)? Does it take the shape of the other person's Patronus, or just a shape that the first person associates with them? If the other person is still alive, does that mean that now there are two identical Patronuses?

- Since some wands are specifically good for certain types of magic, does that mean wands choose their owner based on an inborn talent or potential?

- If people have minds, souls, and magic, how distinct are the three things? A piece of soul seems to possess both a mind and magic, although it isn't clear how much of each comes from the actual soul fragment and how much is purposely spelled into the object that contains the soul fragment. The horcruxes that reacted poorly to being messed with (e.g.: diary, locket) were most likely spelled to do that. However, the horcrux in Harry managed to impart magical skills, suggesting there may be some magic within the soul itself.

- What makes some magic stick around for centuries and not lose power, while other magic wears off over time, or ends abruptly when the spell-caster dies?

I'm glad Harry knows he was stupid. Now if he would just realize he's STILL being stupid, maybe they'd be in a better position to get out of there. I can't wait to see if Snape can get them out despite Harry being a dead weight.

Author's Response: Harry has a lot of "stupid" stuff to get over, but Snape is fairly resourceful.  I'm sure he'll think of something . ..  or I will, on his behalf, I guess.  ;-)

A great chapter. It really finds middle ground between Harry being a sulking dead weight and possibly starting to fight for his life again.

And... ESCAPE! Finally. That's the part I'm waiting for. Not that them being stuck together isn't great and all, but I think Harry could use about half a dozen potions for his various ailments right about now. :-)

I've been putting off reading this story starting with this chapter due to the warning/content, but I have to admit you've done a good job. I'll keep reading to see what happens to Harry now. It's an interesting direction to take the story, since it's likely to change Harry's whole character pretty drastically.

Author's Response: Indeed.  The rest of the story is centered on his recovery from these events.  Glad you gave it a chance.  :-)

I love that last line. Perfect way to end the chapter.

Excellent use of a mind/dream-type sequence. It was very creepy how that scene wasn't what it first seemed to be. Kind of reminds me of a recurring nightmare I used to have as a kid.

I like Harry's journal. I like how you're using it. It doesn't overwhelm the story, because it's just short entries, but it really gives insight into how Harry is doing.

Aww. I guess this is where you had the idea for BBS!, and I'm glad you're writing that, because I like your (well, Snape's) take on how Harry in Slytherin might have played out.

Author's Response: Yes, exactly.  And one of the reviewers on fanfic.net chatted with me about the possibility, so I figured, why the heck not give it a try?  Thnaks for all your reviews; I'm glad you're enjoying the story.

Extracting memories into a pensieve sounds like very unpleasant business. I love details like that in fics.

Well, all I can say is, I'm glad there's another chapter up already, because that's one evil cliffhanger!

    :-)

Harry's childhood really, really sucked. :-(

Ah, the Prophecy again. Interesting that Snape still doesn't know the whole thing.

    Author's Response:

Re: the prophecy, I figured that whatever Snape doesn't know, Voldie can't yank out of his head.  Snape's a really good Occlumens, but he's not perfect. . . .  Thanks for your reviews!
