Excellent chapter. Absolutly, loved the ending. I hope he tells Snape whats up in the next chapter, but I have feeling he won't (at least not everything). *sigh* Anyway, excellent chapter and I can't wait for an update.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review!  I suppose it depends how you would define "everything" but I think you'll be satisfied with what goes down in Chapter...10...gosh, am I that far already?  lol.

excellent chapter. I'm glad Harry told Snape about the 'voice' he's been hearing. Can't wait for the next chapter, please update soon.

Author's Response: Thanks!  I'm glad too; I couldn't take it anymore... lol ;)

Love the chapter as always. I laughed at the scene when Snape tried to fix Harry's clothes. Great chapter as always and please update soon.

    Author's Response:

I really try to add humor to this story, as it's quite angsty.  The part with Snape shrinking Harry's clothes was meant to be sort of awkwardly funny--one of those moments where you're not sure whether to laugh or feel sympathy for whoever is suffering... lol.

Thank you so much for the review!

P.S. I can't wait to read your Christmas story :)

*squeel* I loved the last line. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next chapter now more than ever!

I felt bad for Harry having to hold the soap in his mouth for 2 minutes. But he did kind deserve it. And Harry's emotion as Snape was scolding: perfect. I'm sure I've mentioned this before but you have a great talent for writing, but especially when it comes to Harry.

I hope to see a new chapter soon after Christmas.

    Merry Christmas!

    Author's Response:

Yeah, two minutes is a long time, but I bet he'll never say THAT again...  I know I wouldn't...at least not outloud...in front of Snape anyway...lol.  I'm just not sure what it is about Harry....I just connect with him for some reason.  Maybe it's because even at twenty three, I still feel quite young sometimes.  Who knows...  But either way, that's extremely kind of you to compliment my writing.  Thank you so much for taking the time out to read AND review.  More than likely, I'll be sitting around at my parents' house bored after Christmas, so I'll have a new chapter up soon!

*squeel* I love this story more with every chapter.

    You are an amazing writer.

I really want to know how Harry and Snape are going to find the baskilis (I'm sure I spelled that wrong but I don't feel like looking it up right now). Will Harry still end up fighting it on his own?

Please update soon. I love your story!

    Author's Response:

Well, I think it's basilisk, but no worries...when I first began writing that part into the story, I definitely had to consult the CoS text...lol.  But thanks so much for reading and reviewing!  I'm so glad that you're liking the story so much.  I'll try and update this one as soon as possible!

    *Glares*

I have a love/hate relationship with cliffies. Right now I hate them.

This was an excellent chapter, as always. I really loved how Snape stood up for Harry after reading the note. Even if Harry isn't very appreciative at the moment.

And I can't wait to see Snape POV next in regaurds to the dairy and such.

This is an awesomely, amazing story and I can't wait for the next chapter.

    Please update soon.

Author's Response: Eeek.  Sorry.  lol.  Harry has a bad habit of being appreciative after the fact, but I suppose that's how all of us are at one time or another.  Thanks for the review!  I'm glad you liked this chapter.  It was one of those 'iffy' ones where I'm really unsure about it before I post, so hearing that you liked it is very encouraging.  I'll update this one soon.  I'm kind of doing this alternating thing in regard to updating, but after the new chapter of Staring from Scratch is up, I'll get to work on the new chapter of this one!  Thanks again!

As always I love the chapter. Harry burring his head in the sofa was so...perfectly realistic for a twelve year and Harry.

In regaurds to a scene between Severus and Malfoy: I have mixed feelings. On one hand I'd love the scene and you would do a marvolous job writing it. On the other hand, I can't imagine it fitting into your story. Your story is very much about Severus and Harry. Even the scenes that don't have both Harry and Severus somehow concern the other character, even if it's just Harry thinking about Snape or Snape making a comment about Harry. I honestly can't see a scene between Severus and Malfoy fitting in flawlessly. It would seem out of place. However, if you really want to do the scene (and that is the most important thing anyway) I'm sure you will find a way to make the scene work. :)

Anyway, I love the story and this chapter. And short of killing off every character and ending the story tomorrow I'll continue reading regaurdless.

    Please update soon. :)

    Author's Response:

Thanks so much for your feedback!  I think you're right about the Malfoy/Snape scene, and the more I sit here and think about it, the more certain I'm becoming about how I'm going to handle it.  But even if I wrote a scene between Malfoy and Snape, it wouldn't be a bonding scene.  I don't think I made that clear.  Harry would definitely fit into the mix.

I felt quite sorry for Harry as I was writing the scene after his punishment.  I figured he'd be mortified.  Poor little Harry is just a bundle of emotions and hates showing them.

I forgot to mention: if you choose not to do the Draco/Severus scene you can always hint at it. Like have Severus storming through the halls after dealing with Draco, (heading back to talk with Harry or whatever you have planned) and have him compare the two boys' reactions to the punishment as he walks.

Just a thought that I forgot to mention.

As I just said: excellent story and I have no doubt that whatever you come up with will be wonderful. :)

    Author's Response:

Hi again!  Thanks for the suggestion ;)

*taps foot impatiantly* I hate cliffies.

    Anyway, great chapter as always.

It seems like you just started this story a week or two ago and allready its five chapters away from ending. Any chance in a sequel?

Love this story and I'm sure it will make the featured story list. Please update soon.

    Author's Response:

Ah, there you are.  I got a review notice in my email last night and couldn't find where it was posted. lol.  Chapter 1.  Found it.

I'm sorry about the cliffhanger, but you know I'll post a new chapter soon ;)  It DOES feel like I just started this story!  It was way back in September (I think), but still...that kind of scares me to think about how quickly time flies.  As for a sequel, I'm not really sure.  Right now, I don't have an idea for one, and I'm not sure I want to write a fic that just drags and drags,  but who knows...I may get a spark of inspiration :)

Thanks so much for the review!  Glad you enjoyed this one!

It seems like just a week or two ago the first chapter of this wonderful story was posted and allready its coming to an end. *sniff sniff* Any chance of a sequel? ;)

I can't wait for the next chapter and hope you update soon.

I love how Snape just picked Harry up at the end yet Harry continued to struggle to be put down and go to Ginny. I could just see that scene. And the talk they had after Dumbledore left was wonderful. I couldn't decided whether to laugh or cry when Snape and Dumbldore were watching Harry through the door.

Excellent chapter and I can't wait for the next. I'm sure you'll story will be on the new featured list.

    Author's Response:

I think I have this *thing* with Snape lifting Harry.  It's so snuggly, yet it's not meant to be. lol.  And yes, Harry is desparate to help Ginny, so he struggles in Snape's hold; however, at least Snape forces him to think about what he's going to do before he does it.  A step in the right direction.  Yay, Harry!

And yes, the invisible door scene was meant to have a dual effect on your emotions.  It's comical to see Harry sitting there, scratching his poor behind, but at the same time, he's got this dejected look on his face, and we know that he's heart-broken over the whole situation.

Well, thanks (again) for the review :)  Featured story or not, I'm having such a great time just writing and posting ;)
