About me:

Hi, I'm Kim.  I live in Pennsylvania.  I have three children but two have grown and moved out.  One is still fairly young.  I've homeschooled the children most of their lives so I haven't worked in quite a few years.  I run a website called Spirit Talks where mediums meet and help others to hear from those who've passed.  We're on Hiatus right now as my web building software disappeared and none was included in my new computer's op system.     I love Harry Potter and the world of fanfiction associated with it.  Who knew there were so many talented and wonderfully imaginative people out there willing to give more life to characters who must rest for years between adventures?  I'm just glad there is! Voldemort's forces are growing stronger and more organized. Despite warnings of this by the Order's spy, Harry Potter is captured. When he's rescued, will Snape be able to prove that he is useful as more than just a spy to the Order?

You're really writing a fabulous story. It's so perfectly canon, character wise, and interesting, too. And you update frequently, that's the best part!

Author's Response: Thanks, that was what I was worried about; being in character.  I'm having minor problems with my computer but I expect they'll be fixed by tomorrow night so expect more then!

I'm really glad this posted. Snape's works sound wonderful. You made me wish they were real. And his feelings about Harry's appreciation for his life works were better than the fics where he's always feeling he can never be redeemed. I really like him this way much better because he's redeemed himself over and over, in my opinion. I'm glad your Snape has the same opinion.

    Author's Response:

I'm really glad it worked out too.  My computer died about fifteen seconds after it posted but I went out today and got the part so everything's back up and running...including the story.

And all I can say about Snape and the redemption theme is...yeah.  I quite agree.  More on that later.  Much later.

Great insight into Snape's priorities in this chapter. I love his dedication to his students. Wow about his dueling practice! I hope he teaches Harry rather than takes his head off but how Harry will explain his presence there will be fun to find out.

    Author's Response:

What about our dear Snape would make you fear for Harry's head?  Mwuhahahaha

But...I guess the question we really have to ask ourselves is, how predictable is Snape?

Great chapter. I loved the tea conversation. Dumbledore, Harry and Snape are great together in your story! I wonder if Snape will ever really understand what makes Harry tick. It's an interesting journey you're taking us on.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for the review!  I had alot of fun writing the dialogue with Dumbledore.  I'm relieved it came out all right.

These two characters are like night and day aren't they?  But I have hope that they can find a common ground.

I really love this story. Not only are the chapters satisfyingly long (though, sadly, they always do end), they are full of great conversation between Snape and Harry and each one is priceless. I always have this stupid grin on my face whenever an update alert shows up in my email. Please make me grin stupidly again soon!

    Author's Response:

I know exactly what you mean with the stupid grin thing.  I have one now.

Thank you so much for this review!  I was just telling my beta when I gave this to read that I was worried about my dialogues.  I'm always more comfortable with action scenes.  But between the two of you assuring me, I may very well keep writing them.

More coming soon, just got to go ever it again before the final edit.

    Enjoy!

Great chapter again. I like the new interest in Ginny, too. Great standoff with Mrs. Weasley, as well. I love her character but I'm sure sometimes she'd irritate me, as well.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for the review!  I like Mrs. Weasley too, esp. after DH.  ;^)  Maybe I'll pit Snape and Molly in a final showdown at the end.  LOL  Just kidding.  But wouldn't it be fun to see?  Care to take bets?

Title: Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Does That Work On Clothes? 28 Aug 2007

I loved this chapter. Snape and Harry were great with Molly but especially when Harry reassured her. I do love Molly but she can be a pain. Insight into how Snape is treated was sad but just how I see him in canon, as well. Maybe someday he'll see that having Harry is a way to gain some of that companionship and even love that he misses. I'm curious as to where he went. I hope he does come back in a better mood. Snape in a bad mood is NOT a good thing.

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I almost just let Molly hang, but I really want to be in character here and Harry (the little sweetie) just refused to let her stay hurt.  But yeah, she is kick ass most of the time.

LOL  Snape in a bad mood is just...scary.  I'd go hide under a table.  At least Harry's a Gryffindor with some courage to not go running....LOL

It's funny, but I didn't feel sad writing that part about Snape.  I tried really hard to put myself into his shoes and if it were me, I'd be feeling righteous anger.  What's so great about these two is that Harry doesn't get angry enough (sometimes) and Snape (at least how I'm writing him) gets angry enough to make things not hurt most of the time.

As for where he's off to, that will be addressed in the next chapter!

     Thanks and enjoy!

That was fantastic! Great fighting scene! And Snape's last actions then last words? Awesome!

Author's Response: Sweet!  I'm glad you liked that.  That last`line took me the longest time to come up with, but when I had it I was like, yep...that's Snape.  Sorry my reply took so long.  Enjoy!

Great chapter! Snape was in perfect form from word one. Harry was caught in a whirlwind of Snape's odd behavior (according to much of the world). It was terrific.

Author's Response: Thanks!  I'm very glad you liked Snape here.  It's funny the way you said that, "whirlwind of odd behavior."  It's completely true, I couldn't say it better myself.  Naturally, he knows exactly why he says what he does, but everyone else must be reeling, and that no doubt, amuses him greatly.  Thanks so much for the review.  I love hearing from you.  Enjoy!

SPOILERS for HPDH. The Forest of Dean didn't go as smoothly as it should have....

I loved it. This story and many like it are definately needed to fill in the gaping blanks in an otherwise awesome book.
