- Great chapter! I loved the ending, especially, with Harry refusing to use the cube. Sounds like a great fuure moment in the making. The pain and feelings Harry was having were very realistic. I can remember feeling that way but would never have remembered enough to be able to describe it for a story. Great job!

To be quite honest, I hadn't decided whether I was going to let Harry live or die until about halfway through writing. Glad to know I wasn't entirely predictable! Furthermore, as a lover of irony, I couldn't resist the temptation of making Voldie's own arrangance contribute largely to his second demise.

- I liked it. No one ever tells Snape he'd have made a good Gryffindor even though he was the bravest man Harry ever knew and Gryffindors are known for bravery. I wonder why no one ever days that. Great job!

Severus Snape is a spy by nature and by training. As such it infuriates him when he realizes that he knows virtually nothing about the real Harry…other than the fact that Harry keeps a journal. Using his own invisibility cloak, Severus sneaks into the Gryffindor tower while the students are at the leaving feast and exchanges the journal's specially matched ever-sharp quill with a quill of his own that has been charmed to a parchment in Severus' possession so that everything Harry writes is copied to the parchment. What does Harry write, and what happens when Severus realizes that they are kindred spirits. 2010 Challenge Fest entry. Response to Pen Pals by dianehc.

Author's Response: Thanks ^^. I adore Hagrid too and I though that, seeing that this story is rather gritty, a little fluff wouldn't go amiss. Besides, Hagrid and Severus would make a good team; Hagrid resects Severus and would (probably) take his advice on which creatures consitute sensible pets lol!
