After Harry is caught for exploding a cauldron in 2nd year Potions, Snape insists he keep a firm hand on the boy he must secretly protect. However, he discoveres that there is more to the twelve year old than unruliness and disrespect. Similarly, Harry learns from and gains a new perspective of his professor.

Why did he do that, I would have thought he'd be glad to be out of there with the bottles.
Author's Response: Well, because he was basically screwed either way. I suppose I'm trying a Harry-is-attempting-to-be-accountable approach. :)

So what will Albus tell Harry?
Author's Response: Well...several things...as much truth as he can without spilling it all :)

Hmm maybe speding time alone with Snape won't make it such a punishment.
Author's Response: Exactly! Thank you for reading ;)

I think we should be giving you skittles, say about a "whole bag full". This is really good, can't wait to see how Snape handles him.

I looked at some of the reviews before posting my own because I didn't want to be to hard on this, but I have to say that I just can't think of Lily as the type of mother to sit in the tub when her son was about to get into trouble. In fact I can only imagine she'd be just the opposite. So I agree with everyone else and hope that Snape lightens up a little with Harry.
Author's Response: I take your point, but I know from experience that some people change after losing their loved ones. I think perhaps that may become more apparent in the next few chapters. Thank you for your review though, it's nice to get feedback.
After the Dobby incident at the beginning of the second book, Harry runs away, and Snape kidnaps him. In an old-fashioned house with no comforts and a huge black dog, Harry finds himself at Snape's mercy as Snape plays mind games and makes Harry live through different scenarios. Though Snape seems crazy and psychotic, Harry begins to see reasons behind Snape's sporadic behavior. There is corporal punishment, but it is different from what I've written before. This is a Mean!Snape story for the most part. If you're looking for a cuddly story, go elsewhere please.

Something just is off with this and no it's not because of how you wrote your other stories. Harry is used to people treating him horribly during the summer. He is to much of a survivalist not to figure out how to placate Snape.

I think she got just what she deserved! Keep up the great work.
Author's Response: Yes, Eileen definitely did deserve what she got. Thanks for the review! I hope you keep enjoying.

I reviewed this one on FFnet but I really think Harry got what he wanted after all his DAD made a decision for Harry's welfare which I think he was secretly hopping he would do.
Author's Response: You're right. That is what Harry wanted...some sort of ackowledgement that Snape is beginning to accept the role of his father. Snape's reaction to the whole thing is up next chapter as Harry's response is exactly what he was hoping for too. Just imagine how much easier all of this would be if they would share what they're thinking! Of course, the story would be much shorter. LOL Thanks for reviewing again. :o)
