About me:

Hi, everyone.  I'm a long-time HP fan, but new to reading and writing HP fanfics.  Of course Harry and Severus are favorites, but I really like almost all the characters.

I'm a preschool teacher, and happily married with two children who also love HP.  Other things to know about me?  Hmm, I love horseback riding, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.  I love coming to talk with other fans on the internet, and I love reading fanfics.

Title: Chapter 4: Halloween 21 Sep 2007
Reviewer: Kristeh (Signed)
Oh, I'm sorry I missed a chapter. I got behind on reviewing some of my favorite stories last week, and I'm still trying to catch up.

This is a wonderful chapter! Lots of interesting things are going on. It's too bad Harry and Hermione missed seeing Fluffy, but perhaps they'll get their chance later.

I can sympathize with Harry's confused feelings about Snape. Will they ever discuss this issue and will Harry ever be able to explain about the note and that it wasn't his fault he was late?

I'd pay good money to see Oliver Wood and Marcus Flint learning to cooperate with one another. In a way, that's even more unlikely than canon Snape and Harry getting along.

I'm so glad that Harry trusted Snape enough to share his memories of the Dursleys and that the other professors are willing to protect him from his abusive relatives. And I really love your Snape--he's so kind and protective, although still a bit strict.

    Looking forward to more!

Title: Chapter 5: Quidditch 21 Sep 2007

I really love how you're taking the events of the first book, but having different characters be involved, like not having Harry and Hermione on the first trip to see Fluffy, and now having Draco in the Great Mountain Troll Battle. I think it's going to be important in unifying the Houses, and having characters from both Slytherin and Gryffindor become friends.

I loved seeing Severus care for Harry, and it's nice to see some good things happening for Harry like getting his broom and being talented at Quidditch. But what a cliffhanger! Please update soon!

Author's Response: Thanks for your reviews! I really appreciate them. Now, the cliffhanger is not too bad, is it? As I said before, this story is a time travel story.... So in order to do a time travel, Harry cannot die of a Quidditch accident before even going to the past, right? ;-)  *evilly grin*

Title: Chapter 6: Studies 29 Sep 2007

I love Harry's magic and how he is so powerful. It makes for some very interesting situations. I had to grin at him conjuring a complete tea set and platter of biscuits, and the polar bear was great, too!

I'm glad Harry wasn't hurt too badly by the bludger, and I can't wait to see what kind of animal he will become. It's too bad it has to be painful, though. Hope he'll be all right. He really is a brave kid.

    Author's Response:

See, you told me you wanted an update - now I want one of your story ;-)

Thanks for your kind review - I really appreciate it :-)

Title: Chapter 7: Animagus Lessons 05 Oct 2007
Reviewer: Kristeh (Signed)
Great chapter! I think a phoenix is a perfect animagus form for Harry, and I can imagine the fun he, Dumbledore, and Fawkes will get up to.

Of course Harry is going to practise on his own, how could he resist? I'm a little worried though, that he doesn't seem to be completely healthy and doesn't seem to realize it. He's so excited about his magic that he's pushing himself a bit, but I hope he'll be all right.

I am glad to see the professors and Dumbledore take care of Harry and be protective of him, not just let him flounder on his own.

It sounds like Harry is going to have an interesting Christmas at the Malfoys, too.

    Author's Response:

With the Malfoys? Hmmm... let's see. Yes, his health is a bit of a problem...

Thanks for your review, I really appreciate it :-)

Title: Chapter 8: Holidays 13 Oct 2007
Reviewer: Kristeh (Signed)
What a great chapter! I loved it! It's good to see Harry making progress with his animagus form. It just might come in handy one of these days, hmm?

I knew the poor little kid wasn't well though, and pneumonia can be quite serious. I'm glad Draco alerted Severus and that they were able to catch it early. Hopefully, Harry will make a full recovery. I'm sure he will if Severus has anything to say about it anyway.

It is too bad in a way that Harry had to miss Christmas holidays with his friend, but I think it might just be better that he is spending it with Severus after all. The two of them can grow even closer now. And maybe Harry can visit Draco another time. Unless Lucius is still going to be a bad guy in your fic, and then Harry better just let Draco be a school friend.

It was beautiful to see how simple things can make Harry so happy, like having a room of his own, even if it is just for two weeks, and decorating the Christmas tree. It's wonderful of Severus too, to go out of his way to make this Christmas a happy time for Harry.

But when Harry was remembering his Christmases with the Dursleys, that was heartbreaking. That poor child, to be denied so much. I have a feeling that Severus and Minerva and the others will try extra hard to make things up to Harry now, and I can't wait to learn more about Severus' idea too.

Can I ask a question? Will Severus and Harry ever address that lesson where Harry was late and Severus was a little harsh? Or is that all behind them now?

And it is a time travel fic, didn't you say? That could be really interesting, to see how Severus, Lily, and James react to one another again. But I do hope that Harry and Severus will remain very close.

I really love this story! You just updated and already I want more! Thank you for writing!

    Author's Response:

Thanks for this "Chapter of review" *lol*!

Harry had to stay with Severus... I never intended to sent him to the Malfoys ;-). Lucius will only meet Harry once before they return to the past (while he is not good) - after they return to the future again, everything might be different...?!

To your question, no, they won't address that particular lesson. I don't think Harry needs it anymore (after these holidays).

Harry and Severus will remain very close - that I can promise (but nothing more, I won't tell you the story in advance ;-)

Anyway thanks a lot for your review - it means a lot to me, especially as here at P&S I never get many reviews (in contrary to ffnet). Next chapter as usual on Friday (my beta-reader needs a week!)

Title: Chapter 9: Christmas 21 Oct 2007
Reviewer: Kristeh (Signed)
Hi, Teddy! I just love this chapter! It's so wonderful to read about Harry finally getting to have a real Christmas!

He got some great presents, and I especially love the clothes that Severus gave him! I want some shirts like those!

And I had to chuckle at the prank Harry and Severus played. It's nice to see that, as hard as his life has been, Harry still has that mischievous streak!

Title: Chapter 10: Pranks 28 Oct 2007
Reviewer: Kristeh (Signed)
Great chapter, teddy! I enjoyed reading about the pranks, and I must say Draco has nerve--I'd be much too frightened to play pranks in McGonagall's class. Although, come to think of it, Draco didn't actually get blamed for it, did he? It was nice of McGonagall to let Harry keep his book, though.

And Harry's wheezing and having trouble breathing? Is that just a slight relapse or is something going on with Harry?

I'm glad Dumbledore agreed to let Harry stay with his classmates. The professors are right--Harry needs to stay with his friends and build his confidence. I think he'd have hated moving up a year, even if he is gifted.

It's always nice to see Severus and Harry bonding, too. I think from what we see in "HBP" that Harry might have enjoyed Potions in canon, if Snape had been more agreeable.

    Looking forward to more!

Title: Chapter 11: Dragons and Detention 03 Nov 2007
Reviewer: Kristeh (Signed)
What a great chapter! Hooray for Harry! He became an animagus! I love the image of the three phoenixes together.

It was quite noble of Harry to take the blame for being out, instead of tattling on his friends, and it was even more noble of Draco and Blaise to tell the truth. I'm glad Minerva rewarded them for it, though they still have to deal with Severus.

I really feel for Harry at the Quidditch game. Having to determine which of his Houses gets the Cup---that's a heavy burden for a kid.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Title: Chapter 12: The Cup 09 Nov 2007
Reviewer: Kristeh (Signed)
What a great chapter! I'm glad McGonagall reassured Harry that it wasn't his fault Gryffindor lost the Cup. As she said, it really depended on how all the players did in all the games, so Harry is no more or less to blame than anyone.

It's fun to see Harry and Severus having a good time brewing potions together, and I loved it when Severus offered to be Harry's guardian. It's sad, though, that Harry still sees himself as a burden. I guess all those years with the Dursleys left him scarred emotionally, too. Hopefully, Severus will be able to help him with that, too.

I'm worried about Harry's health---he just doesn't seem able to get perfectly well. But hopefully, in time, with good care, his constitution will become stronger.

And what a cliffhanger! I know Severus isn't really going to leave Harry with the Dursleys, he's gone to such lengths to reassure him, but Harry must be really scared, poor kid.

    Looking forward to more!

Title: Chapter 13: The Dursleys 16 Nov 2007
Reviewer: Kristeh (Signed)
Yay, Severus is Harry's official guardian! I loved the little ghost he left the Dursleys---perfect gift for them.

It was interesting to see Lucius and Draco come to visit. Boy, it's a good thing Harry learned Occlumency. He sure doesn't want Lucius Malfoy prying into his mind. I'm so happy to see that Draco is loyal to Harry rather than to his father. Of course, normally, I'd say family comes first, but not when your family is Lucius Malfoy!

The whole Lockhart bit was amusing, too. I'm looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Thanks, Kristeh, I'm glad you liked it - and thanks for beta-ing and for your encouragement :-)
