About me:

Hi, everyone.  I'm a long-time HP fan, but new to reading and writing HP fanfics.  Of course Harry and Severus are favorites, but I really like almost all the characters.

I'm a preschool teacher, and happily married with two children who also love HP.  Other things to know about me?  Hmm, I love horseback riding, reading, and spending time with my family and friends.  I love coming to talk with other fans on the internet, and I love reading fanfics.

As a first year, Harry is sorted into Slytherin instead of Gryffindor, and no one is more surprised than his new Head of House.

I'm glad that Severus has finally been shaken up! It's high time he started helping Harry, instead of tormenting him. I loved how the Bloody Baron took up for Harry, and McGonagall, too. Looking forward to the next chapter, and hopefully, everything will go well at your work!

Well, I guess the ball's in Harry's court now. I'm not sure how he'll respond, but I'm glad that Severus actually did apologize.

It was really obvious what a horrible time Harry's been having, especially now that we see it through his eyes.

I especially liked where he was thinking how unfair it was that the Dursleys hated him because of his mother, and Snape hated him because of his father. It really is a such a shame, because Harry himself is a good kid who doesn't deserve that. I do hope that he and Severus can rebuild their relationship and really get to know one another.

Harry's meltdown was quite scary, and I'm just glad that Flint was able to get through to him.

I'm so glad that "Walk the Shadows" is going to be updated next, but I can't wait to see what happens here next, too!

What a great chapter! It was nice to see that Harry's teammates care for him, and Draco was...dare I say 'sweet'?

Severus had definitely better watch out for Madame Pomfrey. I don't think he wants to get on her bad side, and it sounds like she's about had it with him.

I really, really loved the interaction between Severus and Harry. However bad he may feel, Severus is still going to be defensive and stern (it'll take a little while for Harry to soften him up), and Harry is struggling to keep his own anger and resentment under control.

And yet, there are hopeful signs that maybe they've started down a better path. I can't wait for the next chapter!

I'm glad Harry is doing well, and things are getting better for him. It's nice for him to be able to have a normal school experience for a change, but I have a feeling that that isn't going to last long.

I liked that Severus gave him the broom. It's a great gift, and Severus can justify it to himself as being good for the Slytherin Quidditch team, certainly not because he wanted to give Harry a gift.

I'm glad that Harry learned about the Maruaders---I think it will help him to empathize with Severus. Maybe Severus will learn more about Harry's past and be able to empathize with him, too.

I'm very curious about those chocolates...Dumbledore, Severus, someone totally unexpected...so many possibilities.

Great chapter! I loved the discussion between Harry and Severus. It took a lot of courage for Harry to ask if his father's past behavior influenced Severus' treatment of him (even if he did go about it in a roundabout way), and I was glad that Severus restrained himself and responded appropriately.

I'm a bit with Dumbledore at the moment--he really is prejudiced against the Slytherins, and that's not good. I hope he'll come around at some point. But it's great to see Severus assuming the reponsibility of protecting Harry, too.

    Looking forward to more!

Are we sure Dumbledore isn't part Slytherin himself?

Another great chapter, and I especially enjoyed seeing Harry and Hermione getting to know one another better. It would be awesome to see Harry bridge some the gap between Gryffindor and Slytherin.

And his intense reaction to being accused of cheating really makes sense once you know his history with the Dursleys.

    Hope you're feeling better now!

Sorry I've gotten behind on reviewing, but the last couple chapters have been wonderful as always! I can see so much progress with Severus' and Harry's relationship. I think there's real hope for them becoming very close one day.

Loved Severus taking Harry to his parents' graves and showing Harry the pictures of his mother. Also, the scene where he's questioning Harry about the Dursleys and Harry runs away and Severus follows him...well, that was brilliant and I found myself really admiring Severus there.

    Looking forward to more!

Great chapter! Teddy, Harry, and Millie are pretty sharp...sounds like they've about the mystery solved about the you-know-what.

That Gaius creep gives me shivers, and I have a bad feeling that Harry hasn't seen the last of him. I sure hope Severus and the Bloody Baron are in full protective mode if or when he makes a move. Harry's been through enough already. He doesn't need this psycho-predator kid attacking him. Though I would like for Severus to see Gaius for what he is, and then kill him. It could be a nice bonding moment for Harry and Sev, don't you think?

Loved the bartering over the photos and questions, and it truly is terrible how the Dursleys mistreated poor Harry. My heart really does break for him.

Lots of hugs for Harry, and one for Severus too, if he'll let me!

Great chapter! I'm glad Severus is keeping a close eye on Harry and that Harry is beginning to open up with him. I noticed he didn't tell Gaius' name, but he did at least let Severus know what had happened. I'm actually impressed...I didn't think he would mention it to Severus.

I do hope Teddy is really loyal to Harry. He seems to be a good friend, and Harry really needs his friends.

I'm so sorry that you're having health problems, and I'm really hoping you'll be better soon!

It was a great chapter. I enjoyed seeing interact with his friends, and it was good to see Hagrid, too. I'm glad he was accepting of the kids and not judgmental of them being Slytherins. I'm pretty curious about the book Teddy gave Harry and to see how Occlumency goes.
