But seriously this is great. Snapey is all like, srsly, I am just here because who else will look out after the stupid brat?!?!!? but we all know better. Snapey Snapey, you are going soft and mushy XD But it's ok - we still love you XD

- So I was one of those people who read this on ff.net but came down with this disease called BONE-IDLE (otherwise known as LAZY) and didn't review. So here I am making up for past mistakes.
I LUFF this story. Seriously. Especially this first chapter, because it's so full of AWWW! moments and Harry-is-abused-ness. Which I only like because I know that Snapey is going to rescue him and/or bring down the wrath of ... well, Slytherin, I guess, on the Dursleys. XD

I have a lot of love for first-year Snape/Harry stories because they are awesome and because a lot of the time you don't have to wade through all of the emotional bullshit that has been accumulating over the years.
Then again, overcoming the emotional bull is really nice to read about ...
Ah well, this first chapter certainly rocks my socks XD
Author's Response: Heh, I’m really glad you liked it! I went with first year Harry precisely for the sons you say – all that emotional bullshit is awfully hard to wade through. Maybe for my next story :)

I read that and was totally like WHOA SNAPE'S A CAMELEON! But it's still my favourite line if not for teh amusing imagery but also because Snapey is the only one paying attention to Harry. Which is so totally the first step towards SNAPE/HARRY LUFF XD

Author's Response: Harry IS the awesomeness, even if he gets confused about what’s a present and what’s not. It’s not his fault. And um yeah, personal errands…he wasn’t visiting anyone…he was buying new robes….really!

This chapter was totally awww-worthy XD And Snape's behaviour is nicely tempered by his little "insult" at the end - though we know not to take it seriously Snapey because really you are just a puddle of goo inside XD
Author's Response: I like it when I get “awww”s. Snape’s very aware of when he’s crossed his personal line, so he has to throw an insult in there. It’s all about balance.
