Sequel to ‘Harry and the Unexpected Christmas’. Having been de-aged in his sixth year Harry starts again with different priorities, other friends, and unlikely allies. AU, partly OOC, Dumbledore bashing.

Author's Response: Hi, thanks for reading and reviewing - I'm glad you liked the chapter! Sev will probably all right, he's just having a small panic attack :-) When Severus Snape finds a certain brat-who-lived out after curfew the year after Voldemort's return, it starts a chain of events that he wouldn't have imagined in his wildest dreams. Or nightmares.

After a failed spell is used on Harry, he is accidentally deaged. Voldemort, angry with this failure, orders Snape to get close to the boy and then bring him to Voldemort. With Dumbledore telling him to follow along for the moment, Snape has to deal with a 7-year-old. But no one could possibly foresee what fate has in store for Harry Potter and Severus Snape.

This is an excellent story and I look forward to it's continuance. Harry's life is turned around and upside down when a late night visitor from the future tells him the unthinkable. Now he must convince Snape to teach him Occlumency, get along with Draco Malfoy and survive through what Voldemort has planned for him.

What a place to leave us hanging! Author's Response: (Grin) I have said that to so many authors myself, it's nice to be on the receiving end for once, lol. I won't make you wait too long, thank you!
You're going great. Keep it up! Dancingkatz Author's Response: Thank you! Narcissa scares me, lol. She's a great character and I don't want her to seem to lame (because I beleive she is a great character...as I already said, lol). Thank you! A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

I thought the stuff about the snitch was really cool and am wondering if the snitch is actually heavier now that it holds Harry's magical signature (or perhaps something else?) than when Harry first held it. Severus' present to Harry was perfect, and I'm not talking about Lily's textbook (or at least no only Lily's textbook). What made Sev change his mind about letting other people know about their relationship as father and son? I'm sure you'll tell us eventually. I'm really looking forward to the rest of your story. You are an excellent writer and you just keep getting better and better! Author's Response: Hi there. Thanks for the review. Glad you liked the chapter so much. I think it would be too boring to have everything go too smoothly. They care too much for each other to let it fester though. The snitch is the snitch that DD leaves to HArry in his will in DH. It is heavier because the Resurrection Stone is inside it. My Dd doesn't die, you see. Sev changed his mind because he finally realised after he argued with HArry and Albus last chapter, just how hard it would be for HArry to keep on pretending to hate him all through the coming school year. They will, of course, have to continue with the subterfuge in front of others, especially the Slytherins...draco and Nott specifically. He is only telling the Weasley,s and Hermione...Fleur too becasue she and Bill are together. Thank you for your compliments. I hope I can continue to please. ~LesleY~
Author's Response: Thank you for your wonderful review. I am so glad that you like my writing enough to ompliment me like this. I really inspired me to continue to strive even though I am not finding writing easy at the moment. Sev and HArry will continue to butt heads for the exact reasons you ahve mentioned and also becasue they have not yet spoken to each other about emotions. HArry is too quick to take exception, memories of Sev's past attitiude is difficult to let go of. Ron up next. Lesley
I love how you are handling the characters and the plotline. It's flowing nicely and you have let us into the characters heads just enough whist filling in the other iinformation we need ot know with your excellent dialog. Keep up the good work! Author's Response: Hi there! Glad you liked the Pig scene. I really enjoyed writing that. I do think that Minerva's ponderings are spot on. AWho would have thought? But I think Sev would be an animal lover. He would find it easier to get on with them than with people. It's gratifying to know that you enjoy the dialogue. I try very hard to make it as natural as possible. Nice to know I have succeeded. Thanks so much for your review. Lesley
I love your characterizations (particularly Ginny) and you're writing style. IT is very easy to read and I've not been jarred out of the story-verse by awkward phrasing or inappropriate slang, for the which I thank you. I just want to add the following and tell you that I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Bravo! DAncingkatz Author's Response: What a truly lovely review. Thank you so much. I am thrilled that you think so much of ASD. I agree with you about the ease whith which some fics have Harry and Sev accepting each other. They both want the relationship ultimately--now--but the past would be very difficult, particularly for Harry, to forget. He wants to forget, and he always feels guilty if some memory raises its head because he thinks he has forgiven Sev for all the harsh years. Things will get easier but it will take a long time. also, the two of them are so very alike, temper-wise, even though Harry has a much softer disposition. Being Australian, I think it is easier for me than an American (and I imagine the majority of authors are from the US) to stick to being British in the stories...certainly as far as vocabularly goes. Our culture is probably more British than American, but I am a real Anglophile anyway, and have been there as well as having a friend who is British. We also get a lot of British television over here and I usually enjoy British movies and find them more realistic than a lot of American TV or movies. Saying that, there are quite a few American shows I love too. Anyway, thank you again. Lesley~
