Oh, I like this. I like this very much. your descriptions of Severus' thoughts and feelings were excellently drawn and I could just feel Harry's enjoyment of the free time and the wonder at the fact that the gloves fit him and never got too snmall. But most of all I loved the last two paragraphs. You do beautiful work.

oh, intriguing! I look forward to the explanations. Hmmm, Draco sounds absolutely adorable! I wish I could draw, I'd definitely do a pic of Harry and Draco with Sev in their Sphinx forms... oh, well, I can imagine it!

What a place to leave this! Wow! I do hope that you eventually post the next chapter when real life gives you the time and inspiration. This is very emotionally powerful and... just... WOW!

Wow! Go Severus! THis was an excellent chapter. I loved the way Sev hadled Harry and Dumbledore. I've been wanting him to tell off that interfering old man for years. What I like best of all is that he is not out of character. He is still the Severus Snape from the books but with more background and deeper reasons for doing what he did. A most excellent chapter and story.
Author's Response: Thank you, I try to make Severus similar to the books, but at the same time give him more of a background and eventually you will see him getting more paternal towards Harry and Draco as well!

I was very glad to see that you posted the new chapter. Boy, Harry and Draco are really driving Sev crazy with their animosity towards each other. I have my suspicions about what Sev is going to do but I'll keep them to myself and see if I'm right when you post hte next cahapter. Keep up the great work. This is a fabulous story!
Author's Response: yes, poor Sev. He can't take it any more. But he has a plan up his sleeve that might work. You'll see if it's the same as what you were thinking next chapter.

Very good. THe punishment fit the crime (though I had been wondering if Sev was going to magically fasten them wrist to wrist so they'd have to cooperate with each other to get dressed , eat, do chores,etc.). It sounds like The wake up call just might work. Great job!
Author's Response: Ha, that would've been good too, but Scorpia already did something similar in her fic so I didn't want to go down the exact same road. Plus, Severus doesn't believe in using coercive magic on children, that would only make them distrust him.

Sev is a great Dad! Thi was the best chapter yet!
Author's Response: Thanks, I think so too! He certainly tries not to be such a strict one, the way some writers portray him, only giving Harry punishments and no rewards. I would think that as a teacher (this is coming from a former one) Snape would know by now the value of rewarding a child for good behavior as well as punishing him when he misbehaves. A system of all punishment will eventually breed resentment and fear and the child quickly goes sour, since the only reward he's getting in to not be punished. Children need encouragement, even it's only a few words here and there, and especially Harry and Draco, who probably have rarely been praised by someone they admire. Anyway, thrilled you liked this one!

A shimmerling? What a lovely name. If anyone can save th fae it's Severus, I'm sure. I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter (as I have the others) and look forward to teh next one.
Author's Response: Thanks, it took me an hour to come up with one. And yes, we all know how good our professor is at saving things! Go Sev! The next chapter will deal with healing spells, as I'm sure you've guessed.

Oh, this was marvelous! I love it that Sev is adept at healing both with magic and with muggle techniques. And The shimmerling sounds like he's going to make it. Whew! THe story about how Sev helped Lily was wonderful and so was the last bit where Harry went out ot check on the shimmerling in the middle of the night. I wish i could draw the image I have in my head of Harry asleep on the couch with the shimmerling curled up on his chest on the sofa. Sweet!
Author's Response: Thanks, I wanted to give Sev a diverse background, since he was raised both as a Muggle and a wizard and it makes sense that he would have both methods to draw on. I'm glad you liked the Sev and Lily bit and that image of Harry with the shimmerling at the end is stuck in my head too!

Great chapter! The sessions were wonderful but hte best part was the ending. "I forgive you too," That was just... I can't coherently explain how readign that made me feel. All I can say is that I'm smiling so wide that my face is going to crack at the same time I want to cry because it is so moving. Bravo! I wish I could give you an 11.
Author's Response: Wow! Thanks! I'm delighted you found that part so moving, it was my favorite part too. I figured after all he'd been through, Sev deserved a hug from his son too! And he needed to hear from Harry's own mouth that his son could forgive him for not saving his mother, it really meant more than words could say.
