    I'm glad you are feeling better and have survived the frst fortnight of lasses. My classes started last Tuesday and I feel like I'm preparing for my NEWTs, I have so muh work! Thank you for a lovely break from algebra and personal finanial management homework.

    Well, you certainly have my curiosity piqued! I am wondering whether everything in this chapter is really happening and Harry's been hit by a curse or been poisoned or if this is all essentially a figment of his imagination (either from dreaming, or being the effects of a curse or poison, etc). In either case, things certainly don't look good for our hero.

    You have a nice writing style and the characterizations are quite good. Yes, you had a lot of things going on in this chapter but it didn't feel like it was crammed in with a shoe horn. You made efficient use of the length without resorting to dropping anvils to get the clues across to the reader. And bless you for not falling into the laundry list/unnecessary use of excessive adjectives form of descriptions. I had no trouble identifying time, place, what the characters were feeling. Your style here is eminently readable. Bravo!

    I'm really looking forward to the upcoming chapters.

    This was a fabulous chapter. I'm not sure if I've figured out what is really going on yet, so I shan't say anything here. However, I really like the relationship you have developing between Harry and Severus. And the dialogue is great.     I really like this story, especially as you are so good at depicting three-dimensional characters and write such natural sounding dialog. I look forward to reading more.

    I love The Wise One. I hope that Harry will talk to her about things. I keep thinking that if he would only slip up and say something like "I can't tell anyone, Dumbledore says I have to go back every year!" then Sev could do something about the situation. Of course, Harry would need to talk about the details eventually, to
    help him heal. Unfortunately, he is only a kid still and seems to think he has only two choices: stay nothing at all or to tell every last detail. I'm sure, however that between the Ruffled Serpent and Sev, things will be sorted out.

    I hope your ankle gets better soon (been there, done that, have been trying to return the t-shirt ever since) and you have a Happy Christmas and New Year.

    Yes, unfortunately that's how it is with a lot of abused kids, they have major trust issues (and no wonder), and tend to believe it's all or nothing. The Wise One will give Harry some good advice, however.

    Thanks, one of the reasons my ankle is in such bad shape is the multiple tears and sprains it has had, plus my FM does not help anything.
