- Draco showing backbone to Octavian was great. He got what he deserved.
The lanky blond-haired wizard was knocked flying onto the floor. He sat up, whimpering and clutching his nose, which was streaming blood.
Draco rubbed his right hand and growled, "Shut it, Octavian! Now go crawl back into the hole you crawled out of, you dungbeetle carcass. Before I have you arrested for slander. Get!"
The trial was not disappointing. I can hardly wait to read the next chapter. :)
Author's Response: He did indeed, and Draco got a chance to really stick it to some of his hateful relatives. I pity him with such a family. Good thing he has Harry and Severus now to keep him on the straight and narrow. I should have the next chapter posted sometime soon. Meantime, you could check out my new fic, Arms of a Dark Angel, it's set during SS and features Severus trying to protect Harry during that period without revealing himself to anyone, like Dumbledore or the staff or Harry's friends.

- Bravo, I really like the way you had the manor choose the next heir. It made perfect sense that Severus Prince would test the recipient. :)
Author's Response: Yes, I felt Sev Prince would be the bets one to talk to Harry and represent the manor's interests, since he too was one who was a half-blood.

- Severus gaped at her. "You wouldn't dare!" he sputtered. "I'm a professor now, not your student, Min, and I don't need you fussing like a mother hen . . .Ow!" he yelped as the Transfiguration teacher reached up and expertly grabbed his ear. "Minerva, for the love of God, let me go."
"Are ye gonna behave and come wi' me then, laddie?" she demanded sternly.
I was laughing myself silly over that.
Author's Response: When I wrote that, all I could see was Minerva dragging Severus down the hall, lecturing him a mile a minute, just like a mother with a misbehaving son! I swear, my family thinks I'm possessed or something, LOL! But I have alot of fun putting Severus in that position with Minerva, who I think is very like a stern matriarch. But she also likes and admires him as well, and he knows that, even if he won't admit it.

- Ron and Hermione going to Malachite Cottage is a wonderful idea. It might help Ron learn some self control. For Hermione a major learning experience. I definately vote to have them come for a visit.

Author's Response: That's certainly true and maybe he'll finally learn to see Sev in a different light. Hermione would just be in heaven, learning new things from Rellah and Eileen too. I think they'll come for Harry's birthday and then stay a week.
