About me:

I am an assistant librarian at a technical college in Georgia.

I spent four years in the Navy, where I met my husband, a Senior Chief. We have been married about over 30 years. We have one son, who is in the Army (where did we go wrong??!).

I love the HP universe, but my favorite character is Severus Snape.

Soon after rescuing 7-year-old Harry from the abusive Dursleys, Severus Snape starts his teaching career at Hogwarts. Harry finds even more ways to surprise his father, the Headmaster, and a school full of students. Snape'll have his hands full, raising and protecting his son.

That was great. I really don't want Sirius chopped into small pieces. Also, Peter needs to be found.

But even if Sirius is proved innocent, they will be serving hot tea in hell before Severus lets him close to Harry.

    I so enjoy this.

    Author's Response:

No hot tea in hell?  Hmm, what about Pomegranate lemonade?  (I have an original story set in Hell, where one of the characters (Adonis) is baking cookies and serving up Pomegranate lemonade . . . because it's funny.)  But I understand your point, and yes, it'll be a cold day, or at least, very chilly, before certain individuals are allowed near certain others.  But maybe Part three of the series (as I just mentioned above) will be "The Seach for Peter".

    Thanks for reviewing!

This is great. Sirius should a lot of time in the hospital - that way, Severus won't be able to cut him into small potion pieces.

And there is going to be a third part????! - you really spoil us, you know.

Author's Response: Thanks!  Yeah, I figure if I keep Sirius and Severus away from each other long enough, they'll cool down enough to be reason . . . nah, forget it.  They'll never be reasonable about each other.  But if they can both be reasonable about Harry, that'd be a start.  Of course they'll be a part three: "The Search for . . ." I haven't decided yet who will be the object there.  Could be Scabbers, dunno. :)

That was a great ending for part two (and looking forward to part three).

What I like about your story is you don't just let Harry recover from his abuse. The silence and the complete obedience is typical of a child who was abused. They always think that if they are perfect children, the abuse will go away.

If I had been Severus, I would not have let my son out of my sight for a long time.

Enjoyed it, enjoyed it (hmmm, did I mention how much I enjoyed this story.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing!  The slow recovery from abuse (even given the resilience of many children) is what I wanted to focus on.  Children don't just bounce back as if nothing ever happened.  The events of Harry's 2nd - 6th years will stay with him for a long time.

Tell me, did you enjoy the story?  :)

Oh, I meant to ask - This was the Wrath of Snape. Will the next one be called The Search for Lupin? (running and ducking for cover.)

    I really liked this story.

Author's Response: Actually I'm leaning toward that title, yes . . .  *huge grin*  Either that or The Search for Peace?  for Draco?  Somethin'.  :D

After Harry is caught for exploding a cauldron in 2nd year Potions, Snape insists he keep a firm hand on the boy he must secretly protect. However, he discoveres that there is more to the twelve year old than unruliness and disrespect. Similarly, Harry learns from and gains a new perspective of his professor.

First, I am really enjoying this story. Ron has been a git through the whole thing, but it is unfair not to let Ginny's brothers see her or be with her.

I am wondering what is going to happen to the basil (errr, big snake - librarians can't spell).

I hate to see this end. Will there be a sequel???

Author's Response: Thank you for letting me know that you are reading and enjoying my story!  Yes, Ron is pretty hard to take sometimes, and I think that's mainly because he doesn't really know how to express his emotions without flying off the handle.  Basilisk is a funny word that took me forever to memorize, so don't feel bad...lol. ;)  Perhaps if there is enough interest for a sequel, I'll think about it.  I just don't have any ideas at the moment...  Again, thank you for the review!

No, no, keep reality at bay.

This was great, although it is rather worrisome that one of the portkeys is missing. Severus does not appear to me to be someone who would misplace something.

Author's Response: Thank you!  And no, Severus doesn't misplace things...usually.  I mean, he's not perfect, but he probably thinks he is...lol.  Glad you enjoyed this chapter and thanks again for letting me know!

Yes, if only Harry will learn to speak to the adults in a respectful manner, many of the adults will listen - at least, Snape will.

I am enjoyin this and I am sorry you are sick. Something nasty is going around. My husband is on his third go around.

    Author's Response:

Yes, something is definitely going around here, in the schools especially, and I unfortunally caught it.  Finally.  But I've been resting for two days and I'm beginning to feel a lot better, so thank you :)

You're completely right about Harry and his lack of respect, I think.  I actually believe that's one of the reasons that adults like to group all children together as 'disrespectful' because there are those select few who never learn how to show mutual respect.  As a teacher, I try to explain that to my students all of the time, even though I'm not terribly older than they are.  I still get mistaken as a teenager all of the time (boo).  But anyway, I think Snape has learned a few lessons this year about the 'mutual respect' thing especially ;)

Thanks for the review!  I'm glad you're still enjoying this.

Harry has been depressed for weeks until one day during a potion's exam he finds out that Snape has taken matters into his own hands...

Finally, someone is taking care of Harry's mental and physical health and not just looking at him as the boy is supposed to save the wizarding world while the adults sit around and bemoan their lot (I like run on sentences.)

Wow, this is very interesting. You took us from a story about "taking care of Harry" to a mystery.

    Looking forward to more.

Abandoned on the streets, then placed in an orphanage, and finally adopted by a loving woman. Things are finally getting better for young Harry… or are they?

I just stumbled across this and will go back and read the earlier chapters.

I always like stories where Harry is sorted into Slytherin.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for taking the time to review!
