Author's Response: No, cartoons are the norm here for us Americans and Brits too, I'd say. Specially Disney and Looney Toons. Though my nephew, who is two, loves Dora the Explorer and Diego.

- You better should update soon this time - with an end like this! I liked this chapter, though I dislike old sappy movies and don't understand why Lily does like them. Yuck. Good thing love is blind, otherwise Severus would have hard times, watching crap :)

- Tabasco sauce? That's really interesting to compare the methods used (though I'm still childless). Here people don't give tabasco sauce or any hot/spicy things to children (nor soap), it destroys taste-buds on tongue and spice is considered unhealthy.
Sorry for picking on details. I liked Severus fighting all right. L-S
Author's Response: Yes,we don't normally give that stuff to kids either unless it's a punishment. Usually after the first or occasionally the second time the kids learn to stop biting, swearing, or whatever. I know some people who give their kids hot peppers and stuff, but I would never do that, since I'm allergic to them.

I like to see Severus happy too. And I agree with you about JKR's Lily, but the only way she ever portryaed her was as a mother sacrificing herself for her son (a good image) and as an unforgiving teenager in DH when she refused to let Severus apologize to her or even explain why he had reacted the way he did when she defended him from the Marauders. I expected so much more from her than that in the books and I was disappointed. So when I chose to write her story, i made her into the woman she ought to have been, IMO.
Look for a new chapter in about five minutes, okay? :)

I was surprised that the whole big family knows about magic :-0 I always thought only the nearest members were allowed to be told.

Author's Response: yeah, I thought of you when Lily did that, it was just what the pain-in-the-butt deserved!\r\n\r\nNot everyone knows about magic, just a few people--Hal and Vi, Charley knows a bit, but they all thought the argument was over their kids and Sev, which it was. That\'s why Severus took Harry away to treat his face after the argument, so no one would see what he did and so Lily could fix Smokey. They kind of stayed away from everyone after that, until most of the guests went home. \r\n\r\nI would say that the family was on Lily and Severus\'s side though, and nobody much missed the Dursleys.
