- This has turned out to be one of the best stories I have read. I look forward to each update and honestly wait impatiently for each of them.
I hope that harry starts to trust someone soon... even if its only the Bloody Baron and Snape. I do like the way you are portraying snape... he's good reasons for being closed and angry and just needs to see around his preconcieved notions.

- so cool... I love this parental Severus. i can't believe that Dumbledore could possibly think that sending a child to live with an AUNT is better or safer than living with his FATHER...what a dork! Go Severus! I also hope that Harry puts the fear of magic into him for interfering in his life making him live those mean selfish people.

Is sirius going to be a snotty git? and what of Remus? What was the potter's reasoning for getting rid of harry in the first place and is their selfish narcissist attitudes going to become public knowledge?

Author's Response: Thank you! The first meeting between the Snapes and the Potters will be very soon....I promise! Erm, I\'m not going to answer that about Sirius and Remus in case I give the plot away. The Potter\'s got rid of Harry because they believed firstly that it was his twin Marcus who defeated Voldemort and secondly, and probably more importantly, Lily and James heard Harry using parsletongue. Rather than have the Potter line \"tainted\" with dark magick they dumped Harry on the Dursley\'s so they were left with their supposedly perfect family. As for if their attitudes are going to be made public.....haven\'t quite decided that yet!
A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

- this is awesome... I do hope they get over the feeling of enmity soon and atleast get along as cousins.
I am waiting still to see what dumbledore does to the dursley's for their excessive treatment of harry?!?! are you going to be working it in?

- I'd say SCREW them if I was Harry. Abuse from them doesn't give mean any reason to protect them. Albus and Severus both should know better than send Harry back to the abuse... they are complete bastarts and if I was Harry family or not i wouldn't forgive them. They aren't the one being starved or beaten on after all so i guess it really doesn't matter.

Thanks for the review. Unfortunately, Harry hasn't got much choice about returning to the Dursleys. He can be rebellious, yes, but he really isn't stupid. He knows he needs as much protection as he has access to.
But don't worry. The cavalry, is on hand to keep things under control this time.
At the end of third year Professor Snape makes a discovery about Harry. Harry's life will change and probably he will get the family he never had.

Author's Response: And you shall have one, as soon as I finish up Arms of a Dark Angel, my fic with a first year Harry and Severus in answer to the Magic Potions challenge.
Snape is left dying in the Shrieking Shack after giving Harry his memories convinced that Harry is going to his death. When Snape dies, he is given a chance to send his soul backwards in time seven years to give Harry a chance for a better (and hopefully longer) life. Will switch back and fourth between being Snape centered and Harry centered.
