Hi there.

I am a 55 year old mother of five grown kids and a grandmother of a beautiful 6 month old granddaughter.

I discovered fan fiction about 18 months ago, but had been writing my own stories before then. I just didn't know that there was such a huge market out there of people who like to read amateur works like mine.

Mind you, some are not so very amateur in content. There are some brilliant writers out there.

I have been obsessed with Harry Potter since buying my then 8 year old son the first three books in the series. I wasn't going to read them but a friend who loves fantasy ( and is even older than me, if you can believe that) encouraged me to do so and an addiction was born.

By the way, I come from Victoria, Australia.

I hope I can give a little bit of pleasure to a lot of people.

    I can remember the last time I read this how annoyed I was with Snapes, diatribe towards HArry. Harry didn't ask Malfoy to show up at Privet Dve. How come that wasn't going to be a problem. Harry was just reacting to what Malfoy had said.

    But then again, Snape doesn't hate Malfoy, does he?

    And if Snape had not responded to Harry's challenge in the yard, even if they were being watched by a DE, the DE would not have known that there was an Order member there. And how would a DE be there anyway with the protection that DD invoked.

    Anyway, love that Snape and HArry interacted, even if it wasn't very satisfactory from Harry's POV.

    Hmmm, I find it hard to believe too...about the marks that is. Without any tweaking, that is.

    Oooh, I am so frustrated for Harry. He still comes off as being a prat. And how dare Hermione attack him straight away, especially when she knows how Snape feels about Harry. Bill and Ron were the only cool ones here.

    Hi there,
    I have read all of the chapters up to now in spite of myself. You write very well. I started out of an idle sense of curiosity and I liked that you said Snape wouldn't get a mother of the year award. I hate it when Snape and Harry fall in love too quickly.

    There doesn't seem to be any danger of them falling in love at all here. And I am intrigued as to what is wrong with Remus of course. And how could Snape just suddenly be Harry's guardian?

    I nearly stopped reading when Arhtur and Molly have turned against HArry. I hate that.

    The whole thing is a big mystery and I will have to keep on reading to satisfy my curiosity.

    I feel so sorry for Harry.

    My heart bleeds for this poor kid. 'Everything is always about you Potter'. I would say that nothing is about Harry. Snape loathes him and some fool made him Harry's guardian. Why should Harry just accept having everything in his life decided for him?

    This is really frustrating me, I have to say. i don't know how Harry hasn't really exploded at Lupin as well.

    An one question. Just because Snape is harry's guardian, how does that make him the owner of everything that is Harry's. Is that the way it works in the wizarding world in your story.

    I loathe Snape in this story, and for the first time ever, you've managed to make me dislike Lupin.

    And I presume the slash relationship is Sev/Lupin? What a drag having Harry in the house. Why didn't they just leave him in danger in Privet Drive seem as no-one cares for Harry anyway.

    Well, I gritted my teeth and forced myself to get this far. And that is not an indictment of your writing--that is wonderful and you paint a very vivid picture.

    It is just that my heart bleeds for Harry. He has absolutely no-one and nothing. Snape hates him, Lupin seems to hate him, all of the Weasleys except maybe Ginny hate him, and even Fang would have nothing to do with him. He can't even see hedwig.
    On top of that, Ron, Fred and George seem to be plotting how to ambush him at the earliest possible time.
    I ask you, what is the point? This kid will be so depressed, all he will want to do is slit his wrists and maybe then, Snape would be happy. I don't even know why they are worried about keeping Harry out of harm's way. Normally Snape would be happy to think of HArry being under Fudge's control. Harry isn't needed to save the wizarding world anymore, so why do they care? And it can't all be because Lupin would feel guilty if they deserted him.

    I really will scream if Harry is sorted into Slytherin and has to become friends with Malfoy.

    I have to go and take a calming draught now.

    Very interesting start with Snape's introspection.
    Thsoe eyes of Harry's are a feature of most stories, including mine. I always imagined they are very beautiful.
    Can't wait to see where this progresses.
