Over forty years after the Final Battle, Harry Potter's life isn't nearly as charming as everyone thought it would be. Something went wrong, gravely wrong... Will he ever be able to let it go? Entry in the 2009 Challenge Fest. In response to the Snape in an Old Peoples' Home Challenge by preposterous purple crocodile.

Author's Response: Thanks Attack! I'm glad you like Al's perspective; I mulled over that for days because I wasn't sure if I wanted to do it from Al's perspective or Harry's originally. I'm glad I chose Al though. He has a very unique perspective in all of this chaos and I like giving him a voice. I'm also glad you like my Snape; I was hoping he was in character. I'm glad you enjoyed it! -P.G.
Author's Response: Hey, thanks for reading. I do feel quite badly for Snape and his lack of control with his Legilimency powers. I'm sure that is a big blow for him, though he certainly isn't going to talk to Harry about how upset he is over it. It's all a part of getting old for him though. Thanks again for supporting my writing! -P.G. In response to the Laughing Together challenge by Kristeh. This story, set by necessity in fanon/movieverse, offers one explanation for the photo (within) that inspired the challenge. What could Snape, Harry, and Ron possibly find so funny? And whatever happened to Colin Creevey? Oneshot.

Author's Response: All I could think about was a LiveJournal icon I saw once. Something to the tune of: "Angry? Scared? Concerned about the future? At least Snape isn't pregnant." I personally don't care what people write, but I truly don't understand the impetus behind mpreg. Just can't wrap my mind around it, somehow . . . and I think I wasted too much time trying. :o) |
