- Interesting rewrite of the sorting scene where Harry asks for Slytherin instead of Gryffindor.
Good story.
Author's Response: When I first wrote this, I decided to make Harry actually want Slytherin instead of Gryffindor since it's a nice change to the storyline. Thanks for another review!

I'm glad the Weasley twins are befriending Harry although they probably will get him into mischief pretty soon.

- I like how your Harry's relatinship with Snape is very slowly developing. Of course, it makes it easier since they don't have years of animosity to overcome. You're managing to put in some new twists and turns -- it makes reading very enjoyable.

- Excellent! I love this story. I like this Severus who so clearly loves Harry. Very different from canon, of course, but this is totally believable since Severus knows Harry is his son and openly loved Lily. It is very exciting to see Severus cope with a manipulative Dumbledore and other enemies.

- Sorry if this is a duplicate.
Your story is great!! I love the way that Snape now knows that Lily forgives him. I was happy to see also that Lily asked Snape to forgive her -- it was really stupid of her not to trust Snape with the truth about the threats long ago, but noble of her too.
I'm guessing that it is Harry's fault that Volemort found out about their relationship, but Snape took the responsibility because he didn't want Harry to have something more to blame himself for. It will be interesting to see if Harry ever finds out and what happens from there.

Snape definitely needed that from Lily. He can finally begin to heal. And yes, the afterlife really helped to change him into the person he can ultimately become. It was much easier there for him to ask for forgivenes. It was stupid of Lily but it was her son's life at stake and I'm not sure I wouldn't have done the same. :o(
Hmm...interesting question about it being Harry's fault. :oP

- Goodness, that was a difficult chapter to read! The knife twisted on so many levels. I feel bad for Severus, I feel bad for Harry.
I am, however, glad to see that Lupin is determined to become Severus' friend, no matter how difficult Severus will make it.
I do wonder why Severus assigned the two week punishment of not seeing his friends to Harry. How is that supposed to help?

It's not as if he won't be seeing his friends. Only not after dinner. I think he'll survive and believe me, our little Potions Master has a method to his madness. And some of it was trying to give Harry a bit of the normalcy he is so desperately seeking. And too, Ron and Neville won't be seeing their friends either while they're scrubbing toilets and neither would Harry if he had been given the same punishment by Minerva. That's rather the point... Also, Harry still has work to catch up on and if he's home with Dad, I'm sure the two of them can have some nice chats while they brew... :o)
It was a very difficult chapter to write. I'm glad you felt that knife twisting though. I cried through a good portion of it. It was hard to see the keyboard! I feel bad for both our guys, but the healing is finally ready to begin now that Severus is in a place where he can be less stringent in his emotional guarding and Harry doesn't have to be so afraid that he'll be tossed out on his ear.
Yes, our Lupin is determined and there was a bit of a crack in Severus' facade there...he's most likely gonna lose this war against Remus. :oP

I liked the interaction between Harry and Severus. Harry seems much more comfortable with Severus and willing to let Severus be his dad.
I'm not sure what's happening with Draco and Moody. Did you previously tell us what Moody's role was and I've just forgotten? or will all be revealed in later chapters?
The plot is thickening . . .

The order members have sorta been guarding Draco for awhile now. ANd Moody doesn't like Draco and really just thinks it will be easier for him to get something on him and send him away instead of dealing with his antics. He has no other role really. Just a order member who's tired of babysitting and doesn't think the Malfoys should be trusted.
Harry is definitely content with Severus as his dad. He's proved himself enough at this point.
