- That was a tough chapter to read!
Very well written. I can actually feel Severus' grief.
Author's Response: Oh good. That was a really hard chapter to write as well. I cried through it over and over again. The thought of losing a child is just too much to bear. :o(

- This is truly evil to leave us hanging here. The only thing that helps at all is that you are a fast writer -- we'd probably all be crazed and out for your blood if you took a month or so between chapters!
I'm wondering if Albus' little sticking charm is going to work for very long. They were together for less than 5 minutes and already Severus has "unstuck" them. Remember Albus warned that too many unsticking incidences would not be advisable?
I hope Harry manages to obey orders, but I'm not sure he'll be able to.

It is terrible of you to go from that touching scene of Harry and Severus discussing Harry's sorting straight to the deatheaters arriving and Remus probably dying.
Also, don't think that we haven't noticed that phrase "father and son sat in contentment one LAST time".
Really, this is evil.

Well, you WERE supposed to notice it. There will be no more contentment. Death Eaters just Apparated in. This is not good. Not good at all.

- As I started this chapter, I was thinking really good thoughts about you and the thoughts got even more loving as I continued to read. I even felt sorry that I had wanted to take a look at your arm. It was so awesome that you put this chapter up so quickly and it looked like Voldemort was going to be vanquished quickly and all of us could start breathing again and maybe even be happy instead of worried and grieving. I know Remus' fate is still (maybe) unknown, but I was hopeful.
And, then, all of my hopes were dashed with that end of this very short chapter. I must say it again -- this is EVIL!
Good writing, though.

- This chapter was incredible.
It was almost like poetry. I became totally immersed in it; seeing images in my mind of what was going on, yet the images were nebulous and so somehow I was more focused on the emotions that the words were creating. It was really an experience to read. I've read it twice now and will read it for the third time after I finish this review.

Despite himself, he finds he CAN grow close to another living being. Only..."everything would've been so much simpler if it'd actually been a cat"...
