Author's Response: Thank you Kreacher!
Author's Response: I'm sure Harry was jumping up and down with the need to know the rest, lol. Luckily--or not since we both know what the phrophesy means--Dumbles told him. Thank you for reviewing! A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing now. I'm very glad you found the story and are enjoying it enough to review. Yes, HArry is very much Sev's son on the stubbornness stakes, that's for sure. Unfortunately, Sev can see that many of Harry's 'bad' traits seem to come directly from HIM. Harry's temper is very much a Sev trait. But Stubbornness can also be good in some circumstances.
Yes, HArry most definitely should not have gone to GH. But he was not entirely aware of what he was doing. It was an instinctual thing after the shocking news he had just recieved. And don't think there won't be a guilt trip there for him as he will blame himself for Remus almost being overcome by the dementors. Hope to hear from you again. Lesley
Author's Response: Well Harry has certainly got a temper and a lot of stubborness buried in that small frame, but IMO, at this point in time, he is entitled to his anger. Se treated him terribly whilst imparting truly devastating news. But Harry is also very needy, and he is not, in the long run, going to 'cut off his nose to spite his face'. thank you for the review. Glad you enjoyed it. Lesley
Author's Response: Thank you for your review. Yes, Sev is new to the father thing, but Harry is also new to hte experience of being the son of a living person...a person, no less who has spent years torturing him. It is not going to be an easy transition for either of them, but I don't think it can be expected that Harry is just going to turn around and forget the last five years, especially as it is not going to be possible for Sev to turn into a nice person...at least, not all the time. HAry wants it to work...but he is very wary. Sev knows this.
As for the floo...you will just have to wait and see.

Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Thank you for your review. ~Lesley~
Author's Response: Thanks for your review kreacher. You are so right, HArry does have to learn all of those things, but he has started. He knows that he speaks before he thinks as is evidenced by how guilty he feels about what he said and how he acted. He knows he has to change. Sev, on the other hand thinks that everything will improve if Harry becomes a child who is basically seen but not heard. He has to realise that there is much more to being a father than saying 'do as I say' not as I do'...or something similar. He thinks his effort finished with him saying I am willing to TRY to be a father to you. He needs to do more than try. He and Harry have to do this together. And HArry is the one with most to lose. ~Lesley~
Author's Response: Thank you for reviewing kreacher. I'm thrilled you enjoyed it so much. And you are right...the path ahead is not going to be free of potholes. ~lesleY~ |
