After the Dobby incident at the beginning of the second book, Harry runs away, and Snape kidnaps him. In an old-fashioned house with no comforts and a huge black dog, Harry finds himself at Snape's mercy as Snape plays mind games and makes Harry live through different scenarios. Though Snape seems crazy and psychotic, Harry begins to see reasons behind Snape's sporadic behavior.

There is corporal punishment, but it is different from what I've written before. This is a Mean!Snape story for the most part. If you're looking for a cuddly story, go elsewhere please.

    wow this was a great chapter and snape does have a caring side to him, the way he held harry was almost fatherly, snapes trying hard not to care but in his heart, he cares about harry very much

    what a great story this is so far, i am glad snape went to fetch harry and take him away from his relatives, did anyone go and deal with the curse vernon was under?. i wouldn't want to be dumbledore at this moment as snape is in a foul mood now

    what a great chapter, alexes potions set sounds good and i hope severus and him spend many happy hours brewing potions and albus spelling banners all over the place and the chat lucius had with severus was a eye opener about spying against mouldywarts, still not sure whether i believe that or not, but we shall see
