About me:

I have been writing fan fiction for the Harry Potter series since 2007.  I blame my boss, who told me about this wonderful, whacky world of fans writing impossible stories for tales that they love.  I generally write strange pairings when i'm not focused on the fguardian relationship between harry and Severus.  My other works can be found on Archive of Our Own under the same pen-name, though be warned, some are fairly dark.

I am a red head (go gingers!), a dog groomer by trade, close to half a century old, and am also an avid animal lover.  In my spare time, I care for three dogs and a husband who is not only odd, but comes from the island of Borneo.  While he doesn't share my affinity for telling tales, he does love animals and has a terrific sense of humor that shows itself at odd times.  I am the proud step-monster to three children and step-grandmonster to one and half grandchildren  (My oldest daughter is due in September! (Woot!)

Thanks for reading this, and feel free to check out my stories.

Title: Chapter 8: Frosty the Snow . . .Dog? 22 Dec 2009

What a lovely chapter. I really enjoyed Harry's tantrum and how Snape dealt with it. Yes, public humiliation does work for toddlers. My mom used to throw a fit right along with us and we'd be so embarrassed that we would quit. Parents are so good at that.

I loved the snow dog. It's too bad that Snape isn't a dog person. A naughty little Crupp might be the best thing for Harry's energy.

Thanks for the great chapter. I enjoyed it immensely.

    Author's Response:

Thanks so much and you're right about the humiliation part. I found it works wonders, even on teenagers, LOL!

You're right, but I think between Harry and the dog Severus might end up in a mental hospital. Hope you enjoy the next two chapter I posted! :)

Again a lovely chapter. I do feel for Smithers, and wonder if Harry has won a friend in him.

I think Augustus will take it as well as can be expected, though I think he'll immediately understand the legal implications of the situation and try to get it cleared up.

Walking in on a fight, Severus gets more than he bargained for.

That was lovely. I really like that Snape saw Lily in Harry. The readers know why Harry was so excited about redecorating the tree, but I wonder if Snape will ever find out. That would be interesting to read about.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Severus relives several Christmases after ingesting a very special piece of candy.

Oh, you broke my heart and made me laugh almost all at once. I loved this story so much. Thanks for giving it to us.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for reading!  I'm glad I was able to take you through several emotions.  This fic was truly a joy to write.  Thanks again for your support!

Darkness swallowed Severus's childhood and is threatening to engulf Harry's. Will the man recognize himself in the boy before history repeats itself? [Generally short chapters due to (almost) daily updates]

This is an interesting premise. You've kind of turned the whole abuse genre on its ear. It's also too true that females can be very abusive, even if they think they are doing something for the 'child's own good.'

Author's Response: Thanks ^^. Even in the canon, Petunia always seemed the main abuser; even though Vernon's a narrow-mindend bully, Petunia's hatred is so much deeper and darker. She's such a spiteful, resentful and jealous woman that I thought I wouldn't have to change her too much to fit the story. (Vernon, I know, has been altered quite a bit in that I've given his character a shot of empathy; however, to mirror Harry and Severus' lives it was necessary.)

Nice interlude to tell an important part of the backstory.

Author's Response: Thanks ^^. I've always thought that Slytherin's reputation did not sit easily with the facts; why would Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff have trusted a vicious, cruel, dark-arts obsessed killer, much less been friends with him?

I am so sorry for not reviewing every chapter, but this story has been so good, that I forget to in order to get to the next chapter.

I love how you are bringing cannon events into the story while still making the plot your own. Really great job on characterization and plotting. I'm in awe.

Wonderful. I love your well-thought out parseltongue. It really is amazing to read how a snake might think.

Thanks for the speedy update. I enjoyed the chapter immensely.

Author's Response: Thanks. I adore snakes and it's really interesting, once you spend time with them, to see how they react to events and interact with people. Far from being cold, slimy and dishonest, they're very straightforward, affectionate and beautiful creatures ^^. I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.

Yay woad-painted Picts. I would love to see a picture of Draco in full woad and brandishing he sword. Great image that.

Lucius' presence, brought my Hermione, was great. I'm sure his heart was in his mouth the entire time he blasted through the obstacles. Another picture I would love to see.

Great chapter. I really enjoyed it.

Author's Response: Thanks ^^ I think, though, Draco would prefer the glittery armour of a medieval knight rather than woad (unless, of course, he could wear lots of heavy celtic jewellery and be riding a chariot lead by two frothing unicorns lol ;) I had the feeling that quite a few people would enjoy picturing the scene of Lucius blasting his way through the third floor corridor; although Lucius is very refined, when Draco's concerned, he doesn't mind making a scene if it will keep his son safe, i.e. in the end of DH, Lucius and Narcissa run through the school sreaming for Draco. (Another image I have is of Professor Sprout walking back to the greenhouse with the charred remains of her Devil's Snare in a plant pot- and sending the passing Lucius a filthy look ^^.)

Yum English breakfast muffins. Love those..

Poor Hermione and Mrs. Granger. I do feel very bad for them. I know in cannon, Hermione did not remain too close with her parents, but in this story it seems like she was.

This chapter was paced well and thoughtful. I love how Draco is the one to suggest they do the essay, and how it is exactly how they are to be punished.

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. Yes, egg and bacon muffins were a favorite breakfast when I was young: we used to have them on saturday mornings.

A parent's death is almost always a tragedy for those left behind and both Hermione and Mrs Granger are going to be miserable for a long time, it wouldn't be realistic to portray it otherwise. However, Uroborus is a healing house. (I always thought that, in the canon, it was a minor miracle that neither Mr or Mrs Granger was targeted in the children's fifth year as they are so vulnerable and so obvious a target.)
