All Harry wants is a place where he fits in. Eleven years old and fresh of the train from Kings Cross, Harry is not going to listen to 'House politics' how ever hard Draco and Ron try to persuade him.... As far as he's concerned he's just Harry Potter, the Boy Who Wants A Chance.

Following the 7th book Severus Snape is very much alive on the Christmas after his youngest grandson starts Hogwarts. In fact, he's spending that Christmas at the Burrow with his son and grandchildren plus the entire Weasley clan.

Author's Response: Thanks! Thirteen-year-old Harry is forced into the body of another Harry in a parallel world, where Snape adopted him years ago. And Snape is enraged to discover that his son has been replaced by a stranger. In our world, Snape discovers a new Harry--one who sees him as a father he never wanted to be. Each Harry must learn to survive in a strange new world, and search for a way home.

Author's Response: I have no idea how I keep it all straight, either. :D I just thought about it so much before I started writing that it's like a little world set up in my head. I can pop in and visit whenever I need to remember where everything is. ;)
Author's Response: Thanks! Speculating on what will happen next, eh? I'm afraid I can't comment on that—but I'm glad you've enjoyed everything so far! :)
Author's Response: I enjoy that about Harry, too. I can't remember how I came up with that, now. But it suits him. :) A drabble (a fic that is 100 words). Snape suspects a terrible fate.

Author's Response: Thank you! It's been a while since I've written anything that short. (I used to only write very short stories, but then I discovered the joy of longer stories and novels.) It was fun to try it again.
A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

Author's Response: It is really lovely gwtting all thesereviews from hitherto unknown readers. Thak you waterleaves, it is lovely to know that you have been reading and enjoying the story. I don't really know what the problem is. I have pelnty of hits, but compared to a lot of stories out there, my reviews are practically non-existent. So I am becoming a little paranoid. But the reviews for this chapter have definitely picked up. Don't worry, Harry refuses to stay behind the scenes for vey long. He'll be back. ~Lesley~
‘fool's rush in where angel's fear to tread' persona' I think you mean fools and angels without the apostrophe. And again here- Kid's mouthed off all the time. I think you just wanted the plural without the apostrophe Theres also something weird about the formatting here, so that I'm not sure if this is actually intended to be dialogue or not because it doesn't have quotation marks >>Time apart from me might enable you to ponder the future with me as your father. You don't appear to be willing to separate the past from the present. Author's Response: You are right of course. Unfortunately, I don't pick everything up when I reread the chapter. And the last was dialogue. Sorry. But apart from pointing out the mistakes, did you enjoy the chapter? ~Lesley~
Anyway- killer little cliffhanger! I hope Snape handles it with grace and is veryyy reassuring even if he is still semi-furious. I like the idea that Snape isn't just trying to be mean to Harry or something, he genuinely needs Harry to realize whether he wants this relationship or not. And Harry's struggles over using the floo-box gift! Awww soo heartwarming and classic Harry! Great stuff- can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Thanks for getting back to me and reassuring me that you liked the chapter. I am glad. Sorry about the cliffie. Lesley~
Author's Response: Thank you for your review. The Weasley's would defend Harry to the hilt. After all, Mrs Weasley said the summer before that Harry was as good as a son to her.And I am sure Arthur feels the same. Never fear, I am sure that HArry will be able to calm Ginny down. And though Muriel is an obnoxious old bat, she still doesn't top Petunia and Vernon. Muriel hasn't beaten her neice and nephews. She just doesn't know when to shut her mouth. Hope to hear from you again, ~LesleY~ |
