Author's Response: Draco is a royal ass, lol. This is not going to be a story where he gets friendly over night so beware and thanks for your review!
Author's Response: You will just have to wait and see, lol. Sorry Cecilia, I will tell you that it involves the Giant Squid, (wink). Thanks for the review! A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

Author's Response: Hi Cecilia, Thanks for your very in-depth review. I love getting the long ones.About Sev losing control and throwing the glass...in my little world, that little display was just a case of the straw that broke the camel's back. It was Sev's way of showing that he has had enough of everything--Dumbledore, Lupin, the Dark lord, fear, trying to learn how to be a parent to a child that you have never liked--get the idea. He can't throw glasses in the presence of the Dark Lord. He knows he can do anything in front of Albus and not be hit with the Cruciatis Curse or the Killing Curse. it's his turn to be the belligerant child. Why should Harry have all the fun? oh, yeah, my Sev tends to lose himself a litle too much in the bottle when he is stressed. We saw that earlier. Watch for that habit coming back to bite him on the bum later. Glad you like my DD. I do try to keep my characters as close to canon as I can considering the circumstances of the story would never have happened in canon. Thanks so much for reading. Hope to hear from you again. ~Lesley~ A duel with Draco leads to drastic and permanent consequences for both Harry and Severus.

Author's Response: Thank you! Voldie will make his appearance before summer is over. I'm still working on the details, but I have the general idea of it already planned. Hopefully it will live up to expectations, though I admit I'm more focused on Severus, Harry, and the emotional angsty side of things.
Other than that this was a nice little chapter, can't wait for the action though. Although there's not much action going on physically in this chapter, there's quite a bit emotionally, i like how your building up the relationship between the two. The 'talk' was interesting, who would of thought it, Poppy with her reprimands has made Snape into something closer resembling a father than an evil git of a potions master or a slave master. With those little touches: giving him an allowance, checking up on him getting to know him better aren't really the things that a master would do, but yet there probably not so obviously fatherly that Snape would notice what he's doing is fatherly. (I know that the above is blindingly obvious, but i liked the subtle deliverly of your writing). Thanks. Cecilia Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, I think in the next chapter Harry will begin to wonder about Severus and how he's changed. I admit, I've never thought writing action scenes was my strong point. It is a weakness in my writing. I much prefer angsty and mushy scenes. I've always said that I could be perfectly happy with a story with no real plot just as long as there was lots of cuddly interaction with my favorite characters. I do have some action scenes planned, though, but I'm really quite nervous about them, so we'll just have to see how they go. Yes, I'm so glad you think Severus is acting 'fatherly' though it's not so obvious as to scare him off. He sees it as just trying to do the right thing. I do want Harry and Severus to develop a father/son relationship...that is one way that Sev is going to try to help Harry accept the slavery spell in the future, by emphasising that he sees Harry as his son, not as a slave. Thanks again!
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm not 100% decided on the sequel, but I have had some ideas for one and it's tempting. But there's still a good ways to go on this one first, so we'll see. This is a one-shot for AYLNO. If you haven't read the series, don't read this!
