AU Book I. Instead of there being a Harry Potter, there is an Arielle Potter, the girl-who-lived. Her life was totally changed when instead of Hagrid being the one that came for her to that hut on the rock, it was Severus Snape. The storyline is not what you expect. Arielle actually has a personality of her own. XD

Author's Response: It is - but it stopped at chapter 8... totally bad writer's block. I'm trying to go back to writing it again though. ^^ I'll post the story here soonish. Harry's life is turned around and upside down when a late night visitor from the future tells him the unthinkable. Now he must convince Snape to teach him Occlumency, get along with Draco Malfoy and survive through what Voldemort has planned for him.

Author's Response: Thank you for your detailed review. I'd love to make Draco run, maybe I will. Yes, the response from the school was not what people expected. I think they wanted Draco to run to the Daily Prophet. I think that it would just give Harry more attention and why would Draco want MORE attention on Harry? He thinks Harry likes it. Plus, the news he gave to the Prophet last year was more hurtful to Harry's 'reputation'. Lies about him being with Hermione and such. Telling the Prophet that Harry was abused, mistreated or neglected would send showers of pity on Harry’s head. And while Harry would hate that, Draco does not know him well enough to know that. Draco loves being treated like royalty and he loves attention. He’ll wait to find something about Harry that will ruin the boy-who-lived, then he will tell the Wizarding world. While I would love to write a chapter where the world finds out about Harry’s home life, Draco will probably not be the one to tell anyone IF it happens. About Draco’s behavior, he is still making judgments about Harry. I tend to take things slow because Draco is not going to wake up and like Harry one day. Just because that has not happened yet, does not mean it won’t happen. So please stick around and I’ll try to get things going. Thanks, Scorpia
This is also a perfect opportunity for Dudley and Harry to become friends you could have Dudley come and talk to Harry and possibly bring him some food... the Harry of the future said Dudley came to him to ask for forgiveness maybe this is the time it will happen I am curious is Umbridge helping with trying to protect Hogwarts or is she still saying that Voldie is not back or maybe she will just deny everything that is going on until Fudge tells her it is ok to believe LOL. This is Voldie's big coming out attack i hope the ministry believes now. Author's Response: Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this chapter. It's fun to read about what the reviewers think will happen, :)
Author's Response: Yes, that is the explanation I had for another reviewer when they asked about the bond. Thank you for reviewing! A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

Author's Response: I agree with everything you said here, Keats. Thank you for a wonderful, insightful review. ~Lesley~
Author's Response: Yes, there are definitely pros and cons for both sides of the argument. And no solution is going to be 100% right. Severus' worries are very real, but so is the fact that Harry is incapable of dissimulation. And Ron may certainly be the spanner in the works, but Harry has ti pretty right when he says he is not exactly sure about how Ron will react in the beginning, but he is right when he says Ron won't turn away from him in the long term...and you are right, if the whole family is there to convince Ron before school starts, then he will have to come around. I am not sure that Ron feels he has one up on HArry by virtue of the fact that he has a family...we have seen often in canon that Ron has issues with his family at times, as most teens do. Ron isn't the slightest bit jealous of the fuss his mother in particular makes of Harry...he doesn't mind sharing because he is confident in his family's love. Thank you for your review. ~LesleY~ A duel with Draco leads to drastic and permanent consequences for both Harry and Severus.

Author's Response: You're right; it would mean a lot to Harry...if he really believed it, but I'm not sure he would yet. He's beginning to trust Severus...I love Anne's line that Harry's heart is warming up to Severus faster than his mind is...but I'm not sure he would believe that Severus really considered him as a son yet. Partly because of their past and lingering distrust, but also because I think that Harry would have a hard time believing that any adult really wants him around. He believed Sirius because Sirius wanted Harry to live with him from almost the moment they met, and Sirius proved himself to Harry during the Triwizard Tournament year, hiding in a cave and eating rats just to be near Harry then. Harry might believe the Weasleys would be willing to take him in because he's had several years of being around them, and they've made him feel welcome. But I don't think it's something Harry would easily believe...he spent too many years with the Dursleys drilling it into him that he was an unwanted burden, so anyone else would have to overcome that baggage and really reassure Harry. But Severus will make it plain to Harry later on in the story. Thank you!
Author's Response: Thank you! Yep, Bellatrix is evil. To me, she's as bad as Voldemort himself, if not worse. And yes, it is good that now no one can question Severus' allegiance. >>>if Harry dies for like less than a minute and is revived would the slave bond be broken??? Interesting question, *evil grin*
Author's Response: Thank you, and that is exactly how Severus is feeling right now. We'll see how well Severus can explain, but I have a feeling that complete understanding between the two may not happen just yet. A few snapshots of how Severus would have dealt with Harry in a Corporal Punishment Harry Potter Universe. AU First Year - contains spanking. I think it's sweet despite the pain: Please don't read if you don't like it.
