AU Book I. Instead of there being a Harry Potter, there is an Arielle Potter, the girl-who-lived. Her life was totally changed when instead of Hagrid being the one that came for her to that hut on the rock, it was Severus Snape. The storyline is not what you expect. Arielle actually has a personality of her own. XD

That was great i loved your entire story read it in one go... loved Papa Sev and Elle really great relationship. hope Book 2 is in the works

Author's Response: It is - but it stopped at chapter 8... totally bad writer's block. I'm trying to go back to writing it again though. ^^ I'll post the story here soonish.

Harry's life is turned around and upside down when a late night visitor from the future tells him the unthinkable. Now he must convince Snape to teach him Occlumency, get along with Draco Malfoy and survive through what Voldemort has planned for him.

Title: Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Gryffindor Strikes Back 16 Jun 2008
Reviewer: Keats (Signed)
I love the pranks that both sides are playing, and I know it is important (in the grand scheme of things) for Harry and Draco to become great friends and that all this helps in that bonding, I assume in the end they would learn not only to tolerate each other but would become a team that would fight Voldemort and the DE together – but I think too much emphasis is places on pranks – especially after chapter 3, I thought that Draco may have seen harry in a different light, is Harry forgetting what he came back from the past to tell himself, is he forgetting the information in the book (is Draco going to read it?) – Harry is forgetting to exercise (come on make Draco run), to get rid of Umbridge (Harry gave up easily after the first day I thought good she would be out in no time, but by next lesson Harry just backs down), the importance of learning Occlumency – to save Sirius. Harry needs Draco and Snape on his team it is time to get serious and stop fooling around

    Author's Response:

Thank you for your detailed review. I'd love to make Draco run, maybe I will. Yes, the response from the school was not what people expected. I think they wanted Draco to run to the Daily Prophet. I think that it would just give Harry more attention and why would Draco want MORE attention on Harry? He thinks Harry likes it. Plus, the news he gave to the Prophet last year was more hurtful to Harry's 'reputation'. Lies about him being with Hermione and such. Telling the Prophet that Harry was abused, mistreated or neglected would send showers of pity on Harry’s head.

And while Harry would hate that, Draco does not know him well enough to know that. Draco loves being treated like royalty and he loves attention. He’ll wait to find something about Harry that will ruin the boy-who-lived, then he will tell the Wizarding world.

While I would love to write a chapter where the world finds out about Harry’s home life, Draco will probably not be the one to tell anyone IF it happens. About Draco’s behavior, he is still making judgments about Harry. I tend to take things slow because Draco is not going to wake up and like Harry one day. Just because that has not happened yet, does not mean it won’t happen. So please stick around and I’ll try to get things going.

    Thanks, Scorpia

I think the two of them together at the Dursley's will bring them closer and Draco might even become more protective of Harry at least he will be more understanding...I hope they will use the time to learn Occlumency Draco can help Harry; maybe Draco may also talk to Harry about his fears because he knows his father would be one of those attacking Hogwarts and that Draco is expected to join the DE which he does not want to. Hopefully one of the Order will come to check them soon.
This is also a perfect opportunity for Dudley and Harry to become friends you could have Dudley come and talk to Harry and possibly bring him some food... the Harry of the future said Dudley came to him to ask for forgiveness maybe this is the time it will happen
I am curious is Umbridge helping with trying to protect Hogwarts or is she still saying that Voldie is not back or maybe she will just deny everything that is going on until Fudge tells her it is ok to believe LOL. This is Voldie's big coming out attack i hope the ministry believes now.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this chapter. It's fun to read about what the reviewers think will happen, :)

Title: Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Draco and the Dursleys 13 Jul 2008
Reviewer: Keats (Signed)
I am assuming that Harry's room is above the kitchen or that the house is small enough so the bounds between Harry and Draco did not activate... Harry did not remember what his future self said about not turning away his cousin but in a sense he was trying to protect Draco...I hope the two talk and Draco realises more of what Harry has gone through maybe Draco point of view on Dudley (that he's not bad) will jerk Harry back to remember what his older self said. Maybe Petunia will walk in on them and Harry will have to protect Draco from Vernon (Dudley also tries to help)

Author's Response: Yes, that is the explanation I had for another reviewer when they asked about the bond. Thank you for reviewing!

A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

Title: Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Setback. 29 Jun 2008

It is hard for Sev as a new parent to handle all the tantrums of a teenager, however it is even more stressful on the teen...it is often said that around age 16 is the hardest year of one’s life couple that with a maniac after you trying to kill you and the whole world looking to you to save them...it is a hard life. For the first time Harry has a real parent and it is hard for him to adjust...harry is probably hoping that Sev comes down hard on him and be what in Harry’s mind a father is suppose to be. Harry has had so many people disappoint him in his life and is in his own way testing his father (all children do at some stage)...his question of if Sev is throwing him out is a heartfelt one, if he feels that his father is abandoning him then Harry’s heart will close off to anyone and everyone in the future. Sev just has to have patients and the two of them need some time together alone to establish some father son relationship (maybe some rules and expectations)

    Author's Response:

I agree with everything you said here, Keats.  Thank you for a wonderful, insightful review.

I agree with both Harry (and Albus) and with Sev - I think it would makes things a lot easier if the Weasleys all find out about Harry and Sev, Molly and Arthur would be very happy for both of them and the twins especially would also approve - Hermione is going to figure it out anyway and Ginny would not have to keep it a secret. However Ron is going to be a problem he is not going to approve and he is going to say many bad things about Sev and Harry – he is going to be jealous Harry always gets everything that Ron wanted and the only thing that Ron has that Harry doesn’t is a family especially loving parents now Harry has a dad who loves him as well. Ron is also known to let his mouth run when he is angry and who knows when he is going to let this secret slip. However as it is still vacation Ron is still at home with his parents and Molly and Arthur will put him in line (hopefully).

    Author's Response:

Yes, there are definitely pros and cons for both sides of the argument. And no solution is going to be 100% right. Severus' worries are very real, but so is the fact that Harry is incapable of dissimulation.

And Ron may certainly be the spanner in the works, but Harry has ti pretty right when he says he is not exactly sure about how Ron will react in the beginning, but he is right when he says Ron won't turn away from him in the long term...and you are right, if the whole family is there to convince Ron before school starts, then he will have to come around.

I am not sure that Ron feels he has one up on HArry by virtue of the fact that he has a family...we have seen often in canon that Ron has issues with his family at times, as most teens do. Ron isn't the slightest bit jealous of the fuss his mother in particular makes of Harry...he doesn't mind sharing because he is confident in his family's love.

    Thank you for your review.

Its a pity Harry didn't hear Sev call him his son, i think it would have made a big difference to Harry

    Author's Response:

You're right; it would mean a lot to Harry...if he really believed it, but I'm not sure he would yet.  He's beginning to trust Severus...I love Anne's line that Harry's heart is warming up to Severus faster than his mind is...but I'm not sure he would believe that Severus really considered him as a son yet.  Partly because of their past and lingering distrust, but also because I think that Harry would have a hard time believing that any adult really wants him around.

He believed Sirius because Sirius wanted Harry to live with him from almost the moment they met, and Sirius proved himself to Harry during the Triwizard Tournament year, hiding in a cave and eating rats just to be near Harry then.  Harry might believe the Weasleys would be willing to take him in because he's had several years of being around them, and they've made him feel welcome.  But I don't think it's something Harry would easily believe...he spent too many years with the Dursleys drilling it into him that he was an unwanted burden, so anyone else would have to overcome that baggage and really reassure Harry.  But Severus will make it plain to Harry later on in the story.

    Thank you!

Voldemort is dead yeah but you never turn your back on Bellatrix...glad that everyone saw Sev being tortured by Voldie for being a traitor so it would be publically known that he was on the side of light...question if Harry dies for like less than a minute and is revived would the slave bond be broken???

    Author's Response:

Thank you!  Yep, Bellatrix is evil.  To me, she's as bad as Voldemort himself, if not worse.  And yes, it is good that now no one can question Severus' allegiance.

    >>>if Harry dies for like less than a minute and is revived would the slave bond be broken???

    Interesting question, *evil grin*

So happy Harry is OK...regardless of how Harry came to him Sev now sees the boy as his son, I think Sev would now rather have died than have Harry leave and go to live with someone else even if it is the Weasleys (who love him). Sev is going to tell Harry how he feels I hope nothing comes in between them to stop him from talking and I hope Harry actually hears him

Author's Response: Thank you, and that is exactly how Severus is feeling right now.  We'll see how well Severus can explain, but I have a feeling that complete understanding between the two may not happen just yet.

A few snapshots of how Severus would have dealt with Harry in a Corporal Punishment Harry Potter Universe. AU First Year - contains spanking. I think it's sweet despite the pain: Please don't read if you don't like it.

The boy really does need someone to look after him and hold him responsible for his recklessness and Snape is just the man for the job, I just hope he knows that Harry will start depending on him not just for discipline but protection, security and fatherly love as well
