Title: Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Darkest Places 08 Jun 2008

From some of your reviews I know it is not Voldemort but maybe it is Harry himself, that evil part of us fed by abuse, guilt and insecurity. Harry has faced so much evil and hate in his life and he has always tried to put it behind him, yes he has Sev, Remus, Ginny and all his friends but he has always suppressed parts of himself (only Sev might be able to access through bond) hidden in the abyss that Volde created. That dark Harry is now trying to fight the light Harry for control and is winning. That is my guess

    Author's Response:

Wow.  Awesome thoughts about this.  I love that you've really thought about it, especially the bit about only Severus being able to those darkest parts of Harry through their bond.  Of course, I won't tell you either way, because you'll just have to wait and see.  Thanks so much for the review.  I'm so glad you're enjoying the story still.  :o)

it was love Sev's willingness to take his son's place the ulitmate sacrifice, like Lily, that kind of love is so strong Voldy could not survive.
Black realises Sev's love for Harry and feels as if there is no place or meaning for him

Author's Response: Ding, ding!  Way to go Keats!  Chocolate frogs for you!  LOL  And bingo about Black as well.  Poor Sirius.  No love for him.  :oP  Thanks so much for the review.  I hope you'll like next chapter as much.

The sequel to Never Again!

Things are going well for the Snape family, after the near disasters of the past year, except for a few minor mishaps. But when Harry meets two new Muggleborn witches in his primary school, one of whom has a mother Sev decides to date, Harry must realize that he’s not the only person in his father’s life anymore. And so, like any child, he must go through the sometimes frustrating, occasionally funny, and totally bewildering process of growing up, with help from Tobias, of course.

Does the school have security and security cameras so they would know who took the children... of all times Harry forgets his inky pendant. Well they would soon have one angry healer, a former royal marine sergeant, one powerful headmaster and the whole auror division looking for the children Dan is going to come up against quite a formidable army.

Author's Response: Yes, the army is coming and soon Dan and company will know the meaning of fear!

Dan is so dead when Sev catches up to him, he really is the meanest man threatening to sell the children... people like him should rot in jail or worse. Harry's magic probably does not detect a life or death situation yet like when the Death Eaters attacked but if Dan and his cohorts actually touch any of the kids in a violent way then the magic might activate.

Author's Response: It could, but the magic is unpredictable at this stage.  And yes, Dan is a walking dead man.

Every parent's nightmare, but at least they all have each other supporting one another. Now that they know who it is they can focus on catching them and quickly.

Author's Response: Yes, they can and they will.  But before that Dan has some nastiness to unleash upon the poor children.

Yes they have someone on the inside who is looking out for them. I am for Dan dying in the final battle (after he gets beaten badly) because then Lexy would be safe, even if he were taken to Azkaban she would always have it in the back of her mind that he would escape and find her, she would always live with that fear. Harry is really great, he is trying to protect the two girls with no consideration for himself ...just love him more and more.
When the Aurors get there they can also take out Sanguinius and get information to get the Council...I’m sure they have been thorns in the Aurors side for a while

Author's Response: The Council is Very powerful, they've been around as long if not longer than the DE, and they're old and steeped in evil.  Dan will be dying I couldn't leave him alive for all the reasons you just listed, plus I really want to kill him.  Harry really is a doll, heroic to the core, even without prophecies and such.

Magnus is Regulus wow that one I didn't suspect - that is so great. The battle was exciting and Inky ripping out Dan's throat well that was perfect. Inky protecting his family - finding Harry and then jumping on Dan to save Sev and Lexy. If Inky does die he would be the greatest hero since James, would Harry feel him die since they have a bond - would he turn back into a stuff panther. But seriously don’t kill him - he should be made an honorary Auror LOL – since Harry and Sev always seem to get into enough trouble they need Inky to protect them both. It would be fun to see Tobias give Inky a hug.

Author's Response: Yes I had that one planned for a long time now and I'm glad no one saw it coming.  And I really don't think I'm going to kill Inky, now that so many readers want him to live and I don't think it'd be good for him to die, even though it would be a hero's death.  You're right, he should be made an Auror and maybe Tobias will hug him, when he's well again. :)

Alls well that ends well..not quite, I like wedding cake... is it a special Christmas proposal followed by a special wedding.

Author's Response: You'll see! It's sure to be memorable!

I love that you wrote a religious based Christmas (and as a Catholic I'm very happy it was Catholic based).
It is often said that Christmas is for children well while Lexy and Harry obviously having the time of their lives; you made it clear that Christmas is also for the young at heart - the snow ball fight was great all the adults, including 100 year plus old Albus, played like 8 year olds, the magic of Christmas transformed them back to children (of course this magic stays on Sirius and Magnus throughout the year – the two boys played like I’m sure they haven’t since they were Harry’s age).
Of course I am so happy for Sev and Alaina – I am a hard core Sev fan and would have been upset if you had him with just some ordinary woman – but Alaina is great I definitely approve. Congratulations Sev and Alaina – they make a great couple.

    Author's Response:

I'm Catholic too, which was why I had to include the religious part, since I feel it takes away from the true meaning of Christmas if you don't include Jesus.  And I believe Christmas is for families and friends, hence the snowball fight.

As for Sev and Alaina, they really deserve each other and as a diehard Sev fan myself (like you couldn't tell!) I would never give him a woman that was unworthy of him.
