When Harry wakes one morning, he discovers a badly injured Snape in his living room, and tries to hide him. But Petunia discovers them and reveals a secret she has kept for thirteen years--one that will change the course of Harry's life forever, and Severus's as well. AU, pre-GOF.

Battle was awesome and Harry protecting his brother was great...but of course the highlight was Sev and Sarai, Harry got to see some masters at their best.
Curious as to how the Raiders got pass the wards and were there to come upon Harry and Draco, was it that the two boys happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, or was it a set up to get the boys (Sarai gets an invite asking Sev and the boys along - because once it was sent it would have been rude not to go...) it may be they are targeting Sarai as the best way to hurt someone like her would be to go after those she cares about and the most vulnerable would be the youngsters , or did the boys happen to prevent the raiders going after someone else, the prince perhaps. Anyway it is very intriguing, you have my mind going a hundred miles per hour trying to figure what is going to happen next...I just love it

Author's Response: Yes, the masters ruled this fight, though the two boys didn't do too badly either considering this was the first time either of them had ever been in combat before, against the Unseelie, that is.  As  for the raiders motivation, the Courts of Light & Dark have always been enemies, and it could be that they were sent to cause mayhem, and the two boys just happened to catch the brunt of it.  The invitation from Balin was legit, shimmerlings can't lie, remember? And he really did want his bodyguard to have a bit of fun, which is why he asked her and her guests to go along. But this is Underhill and you have to expect the unexpected.  rest assured, Balin will make sure nothing like that happens again, it was very embarrassing and horrifying to have a guest attacked that way, especially a young guest.

Really happy that Sirius has told Harry that he approves of Sev because his acceptance means a lot to the boy. The fact that Aunt Petunia and Dudley are with Sirius is also great and Sirius being serious and mature well who would have thought LOL. Ron's response is typical the boy would not accept that good Slytherins exist and probably will never accept that Draco is on the side of light (even if the boy testifies against his father) even worse if he realises Draco like Hermione – Ron’s prejudice against Slytherins and his jealousy could cause many many problems.
As for the Malfoys of course have them found guilty and put away otherwise Draco may be forced to go back to them which will cause problems as his father may want him to be marked right away. Even though they may be put away I am sure the DL may have them broken out of Azkaban

    Author's Response:

yeah, Sirius's acceptance of Sev means the world to Harry and it'll make things so much easier between the two men.  Even Sirius has a mature side and he's starting to show that here.  As for Ron, he still has a lot of growing up to do and his jealousy could cause major problems for the two brothers indeed and Merlin help poor Draco if Ron ever finds out he likes Hermione, even though Ron doesn't even realize he likes her at this point.

As for the Malfoys, that last possibility always exists, until Voldy is gone for good, or the Malfoys are in the ground permanently.

The end it can't be the end of course there has to be a sequel this story and its characters are too good to leave to one story, YES PLEASE to a sequel. I loved this story from beginning to end THANK YOU for writing it...it was a pleasure reading

Author's Response: You're welcome, I loved writing it! I will most likely do a sequel when I finish writing Angel and Shadows.  I have lots of ideas for one.  meantime, I'm working on those two and I've updated Angel recently, there's a detention scene in there that I don't think anyone's ever written before, so check it out!  And thanks for all your reviews, they really keep me going!

Snape is left dying in the Shrieking Shack after giving Harry his memories convinced that Harry is going to his death. When Snape dies, he is given a chance to send his soul backwards in time seven years to give Harry a chance for a better (and hopefully longer) life. Will switch back and fourth between being Snape centered and Harry centered.

With this new information from Ignotus Peverell you have really changed some of the possibilities of the story and not just doing everything from the book over...this is great it just leaves some suspense in the story. Snape knows who among the students who will become DE like Draco (he knows Draco never really wanted that route) maybe he should try and be more involved in his life I mean Sev is Draco’s godfather maybe he should have a personal talk with the boy not as his HOH but as his uncle and try and get Draco to look at him in a fatherly way (I am hoping his relationship with Harry would be similar) so he looks to Sev and not Lucius and will not follow that path. I know that you don’t intend on having corporal punishment, but I think with Draco a swat or two wouldn’t hurt in curbing his behaviour

Glad Harry made the team again. Wow Mr. Weasley giving the twins a howler usually it is Mrs Weasley so for Arthur to send one he must be really mad and the twins know not to cross him. I like Ron being in Slytherin the trio remains intact Sev knows how important the trio are and that they have to stick together

Author's Response: Well, the way I figure it, Mr. Weasley was talked into sending the howler.

Really really happy that Sev confided in someone and happy it was McGonagall. In the future the two are really good friends and I know that McGonagall cares about Harry. I think she is one who Sev can trust and one who will help him, the burden of everything is lifted off of Sev’s shoulders a bit.

Author's Response: McGonagall can help with dealing with Dumbledore in matters relating to the school (example: making sure certain people aren't hired as members of the staff *caugh* Lockheart)

I did think that Dumbledore would give Harry back the stone he would not have taken it in front of the other students and Snape especially since Harry indicated that Snape gave it to him. I however think that Dumbledore will try to, in a very Slytherin and very "legal" way; try and get the stone away from Harry, possibly tell him that it would be safer in a vault under the school or in the Headmaster's office or something which will have Harry give him the stone... as it stands Dumbledore is still in possession of James invisibility cloak the third deathly hallow – as he gave it to Harry for Christmas.
Like that Sev has trusted Remus with his secret and is depending on Remus’ aid in this whole drama... Remus also has a way of controlling Sirius and will also be a good asset in helping raise Harry

I think that Sirius and Remus would be great guardians for Harry as well as good friends to Sev if Sirius would settle down. I don't think Sirius would make an oath to respect Sev because respect is something you earn but probably agree not to do him any bodily harm (but come on he has to do at least one prank on him). I think the three as well as McGonagall could be a great family for Harry.
Can’t wait to hear Sirius’ reaction when he hears that Harry is in Slytherin LOL

Response to Burned Hedwig Challenge... After blowing up his aunt, Harry's uncle abuses him farther than his mental capacity can stand. Even his cousin is concerned, and sends a letter by way of owl "To Whom It May Concern" pleading for his cousins sake for help. But Harry needs more than to be taken from his family. He needs to gain the will to live.

Wow this is so great, ten stars for Dudley, he has a heart and even though he is a spoilt brat he can tell that what his parents are doing is wrong. Deep down he loves his cousin and his “big brother” instincts are kicking in. I've always said that Dudley and Harry could make a good team and since Dudley is related to him he would have his mother’s blood protection he does not need Petunia. Good job looking forward to chapter 2

Author's Response: Thanks a ton! I've thought Dudley would be an interesting character since the final book showed he actually had a heart, but i haven't had a good way to incorporate him. i'm hoping this works out with him in it.

So typical Sev waiting until 7 am to read the message... but who I really loved is Dudley. 10 cheers to Dudley for standing up to his Dad to protect Harry and not backing down even when Vernon hit him. He also has no fear in talking to Sev standing up to him and rebuking him; I just love Dudley. Never really thought of Dudley as being Gryffindor in nature but he shows great bravery.
Also love Sev's little lie well technically not a lie "I came from Scotland. What did you expect?" yeah right it took him like 2 seconds to come from Scotland.
    Love it...Please update soon

Author's Response: Gryffindor.. I hadn't even thought about it in those terms. Lol. And the Severus part- that's what we call a non answer. Manipulating the thoughts of others. Very Slytherin (and fun to write)
