What a wonderful story! Your Harry truly is, to me, the grown up version we all love from the books. Tim is such a precious child - lucky him to have a Nana who was able to protect and give him such love - something a certain dark haired boy did not appear to have in his childhood. I was surprised at the identity of Tim's father - not that I thought it was unreasonable, but it certainly gave an interesting twist to the tale.
I truly enjoyed this story! Thank you for sharing it with us!

I read this wonderful story over on Insane Journal a few days ago, but am VERY happy to see you also put it up here! I love your Snape and Harry. I am not a slash fan, but I was very happy that Remus finally broke through to the dour Potions Master. I also like how cheeky Harry is at times - it speaks well for a comfort level developing between father and son.
Thank you so much for revisiting this wonderful story and giving us fans a bit more of it!

What a lovely story!!! I learned something new, too - I had no idea that Canada Geese has established themselves a bit in Europe too!
Author's Response: Thanks ^^ Yup, we have a healthy brood of canada geese cohabiting with our white and black swans where I live; I've always loved watching the waterbirds and it was fun to involve them in a story.
There is a strange creature loose in the castle. What could it be? Where did it come from? Snape, one of the few people seemingly immune to the creature, must find out before it kills his newly adopted son.

Reference - could it be "come" that Snape uses to call Harry in? I vaguely remember Picard using that method also. Oh - and your live long and prosper in the AN, of course!
Author's Response: Hmm...that was not the intended reference. But I do remember that...so....100 points!!! :D The reference I intentionally put in was Snape's line "I'm a Potions Master not a mind reader" which was similiar to Bones McCoy's lines "I'm a doctor not a ___". lol...I forgot about the AN... Thanks for the review!! :D
Sequel, of sorts, to "Moment of Impact." Harry and Severus' relationship continues to develop through their correspondence during Harry's 6th year. Mainly follows canon but with the H/S mentor relationship established in "Moment of Impact."

I so enjoy the mentoring, and caring, that Snape is giving Harry. Every time you mention the clock it gives me a warm glow!! I am glad, too, that you are finally giving Severus a worthy chess challenger - Harry has many sterling qualities, but chess is not where he shines. I always thought that JKR dropped the ball a bit with the chess substory - it was a useful device for the first book, but I imagined many ways she could have utilized Ron's skill with chess and the calculations needed to be a good player as she continued the series.
I so enjoy the relationship you are building between Harry and Severus in this story. I also am impressed on how you can keep so much of the action and structure of HBP while making such a fundamental change to one of the central relationships in it!
