- I loved the "heart to heart" talk that Harry and Severus have this chapter. How fun it is to hear how they both misunderstand each other's reactions, and yet come around to an understanding of each other's basic makeup at the same time. Sweet and funnay at the same time!

- Harry finds the security he always wanted - and poor clueless Snape still can't figure out what he really feels!
Loved the sports mad women driving Snape mad with talk of Quidditch too!

- A thoughtful chapter - hearing about Snape's lonely past made his actions so much more understandable. No wonder he is fearful of showing any kindness to Harry just for kindness sake. When he finally allows himself to admit his caring for Harry it will be the hardest, most wonderful thing he will have done since he turned to the Light.
I loved this chapter...

While I was initially hesitant to write so much about feelings and history and non-action stuff, I thought it was important to explain why "my" Snape is so shuttered off from other people and has such a hard time showing affection (or admitting he feels it). I'm really glad (and relieved) to hear you liked it!

- Lily's sweater - sniff - the smell of her perfume - sniff, sigh - Harry recognizing it - blubber. I tear up every time I read this chapter...

- I loved the description of the shopping expedition - including the "makeover" for Snape!! I actually don't like shopping that much, but my sister ADORES it. I really felt Snape's pain!

- More fluffy interaction - I just love the introduction to the bedroom and how Snape finally came to understand Harry's strange reluctance. I laugh when Harry sees Snape fussing about washing up as a sign of caring - such a different reaction from most boys of his age!
Author's Response: Yes, exactly! I think that's the biggest "freakiness" about Harry (at least "my" Harry) - his ability to cut to the heart of the matter rather than being distracted (as most of us are) by the superficial appearance. ;)

- Love the hair! Love the hair! All those purchases with Dumbledore must have been worth it! Harry and the broom was a touching moment, of course. Having to justify an awesome broom with the thought that its confiscation would be a great punishment shows how much in denial our Potions Master is still in. Loved this chapter!

- I love the Weasley family and the interaction with them in this chapter! Heart to hearts between Snape and Harry always make me go "Awwwwww" - nice one in this chapter!

- Ahhhhh! No more Mr. Nice Guy for our Potions Master! Now the question is with this chapter which witch or wizard will Snape consider just the right person to avenge Harry's treatment by the Dursley's? I like seeing the Slytherin side come out!

- Severus in full Slytherin mode is such fun to watch! I loved your Sirius - and I can see he and Severus joining forces in some very interesting ways to keep Harry safe (and happy!)
