This is definitely one of my favorite fictions! :D Harry and Severus are really starting to understand each other. Their relationship is progressing beautifully and so realistically. Dear me, I could just hug both of them.
Summer after fourth year is finally over, and things are not as expected when Harry makes it back to the magical world. Badly broken and determined for it to stop, Harry turns to, surprisingly, a certain Potions Master, who in turn finds within himself, of all places, a heart still beating and waiting to love, and be loved in turn.

...Fudge? Lol, I would love to see where this going with Fudge as Severus' brother. While Severus is a little sympathetic and mushy in this fic--I love it! :) (He was tender with Lily after all) There is a repetitive use of child, but it keeps reminding Snape in his thoughts that Harry is indeed a child. Harry is so sweet in this fic and Severus so protective, I want to cry. I hope they both escape Dumbledore's clutches, he is a manipulative old man whether sympathetic in canon or not.
Author's Response: Is he really that mushy??? Oh wow, I'll have to Snape him up a bit then. 'Child' just sounds like something Sev would say, don't you think? Awww I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I should be sorry if I made you cry. Especially if they're good tears.... Dumbles will not be a threat to them much longer, promise.
No, no you misunderstood. I like fics where Severus is a bit mushy and tender. I like reading fics with different sides of his personality. If your fic can bring to tears to my eyes that's a good thing. I enjoy fiction that can make me *feel*. :D So, please do not change Sev unless you feel you need to. But, I like him the way he is. :)
Author's Response: Yay!!!!!!!
My guess is that by separating the strands, the charms will become undone and Harry will become Shadow/Harry. That was a very sweet and heartwrenching chapter. I am looking forward to to Severus' reaction when he hears he is Harry's father.
Author's Response: Interesting guess... very close to the mark as well. Brace yourself for next chapter! Thanks for reviewing!
Harry wants more than anything to be more like his father. In an attempt to change himself something goes wrong and he ends up in the care of his hated Potions Master. Can they form the bond Harry has longed for his whole life? This story is AU and will not be following canon.

Yeowch! He shall learn, though. I think you are portraying a five-year old perfectly. Haha, Snape-- so stern, in denial, and....*whispers* cute!
I don't want to end up as potions ingredients. Tata.
“For your information, my story was fine!” Severus retorted. He lifted Harry up and shifted the boy to get some much needed blood to his calves. “Children's tales are a bunch of ridiculous nonsense, full of gibberish and fabrication. My stories are based on facts, and noteworthy historical figures. They are both entertaining and educational.”
LOL! That is very Severus-like behavior. This is such an adorable story. The way Severus is behaving with Harry is sweet yet still snarky. I love Sev's internal dialogue here, it's hilarious!

"He is an arrogant self centered boy, and if someone doesn't stop him, he will become a monster."
That sounds exactly like how Tom Riddle was or it sounds like how many people could of described Professor Snape.
This was such a wonderful story, thank you for writing it. (Sorry, I am not more verbose on it.)
Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. The ironic thing is, Harry, whose eyes are on the floor, isn't acknowledging the attention because it makes him so uncomfortable. On the other hand, Harry probably needs something to fight against, not to keep him from being a monster, but to give him something to do.
