Slytherin!
Desperate to escape his guilt and nightmares after the third task, Harry transforms into a hawk by accident and ends up breaking both wings and suffering partial memory loss. He is found by Snape, and while the professor nurses him back to health discovers the truth about Severus and who are really his friends and enemies at Hogwarts.

- Poor Freedom--dealing with those dreams and not feeling like he could share them with Snape. He's going to remember soon, isn't he? Then will come the choice--does he willfully choose to remain "Freedom" and Choose to hide from everyone or chance loosing Sev and tell as soon as he can? I'm pretty sure I can guess which one he will WANT to do. . .

It's a tough decision and Harry has to weigh out his options and come to terms that the Snape he knew might not be the true Snape at all, and there is more to his professor than meets the eye.

- Yep, I knew that's what he'd want to do, Now all he has to "do" is reconcile the feelings "Freedom" has with those of "Harry" and I'd just bet that it's going to take talking things out with Sev to do it. All we need is one moment of short temper, or a good nightmare to throw freedom off of his guard and let something slip. If he does it as Freedom, Sev is less likely to kill him--as long as he doesn't wait TOO long.

Author's Response: Right, they both need a good long talk, but first Harry has to reveal that he's Freedom and that's going to take some doing, not to mention a pre-made bomb shelter for when Snape goes ballistic. I've just updated and now you can see Dumbledore's secret.

- My goodness--that was a twist I certainly wasn't expecting. Fawkes knows Harry and Albus made up the prophecy. Snape may have one MAD hawk on his hands--will Harry, in his anst, reveal himself to Sev? He has a good "safe" way to stay hidden even if Sev knows were he is--they don't even have to tell Albus anything, other than Harry is safe. I could easily see this being the cause of a strong aliance between Harry and Sev.

- I love the modifications you've made to their "back story". Harry really is vicious in his Hawk form isn't he?

Yes, he can be, but hawks are predators and that's how they tend to react.
I really enjoyed writing Sev and Lily's story.

- excellent chapter.
If Sev really has used that potion before, he should be able to see what is happening with Harry. . . although, how much of that is because of his overall mental state--he's not in that great of shape(understatement). And would SOMEONE (preferably Snape, but even Hermionie would do) Please notice that blasted cuff--it's draining the poor boy! Is it feeding that nasty toad as well?

He does see it . . .and part of Harry's problem is the side effect of the potion and the other is his mental state--stress and loneliness.
The cuff shall be noticed next chapter. yes, it is draining him but no, the toad isn't getting any benefit from it that way.

- yeah! I like this chapter! OF course there will still be bumps--this IS Harry were are talking about (with Sev in the mix as well) and nothing is ever easy for him. But, I'm glad he has his Sev back at this point!

That's always a possibility.
Having an open mind about the lessons instead of being forced into both giving them and taking them makes a huge difference.
