- Great chapter--I really enjoyed the search for Harry and how Severus gets nastier as he gets more worried. I hope you update soon though because that is a rather nasty cliffhanger. I hope Harry will be able to pull himself away from the mirror!

Thanks PG. Glad you enjoyed it. Yes, Sev is experiencing all the angst that goes with the territory of being a parent. Not sure he likes it all that much. LOL.
Harry's just going through a particularly rough time because Sirius' death has bee brought to the fore again. He has never had time to grieve. Sev, with Remus' help will slowly bring him back to his previously happy state. And to say that Harry has been truly happy with anything but his friendship with Ron and Hermione, no matter for how short a time, is a great thing.

- Great chapter--I'm surprised that Harry isn't getting jealous of Mia for getting so much attention from Sev. She is adorable though and I'm glad she's getting along with her "almost" big brother Harry.
The beagle made me smile. One of my earliest memories is of my dad getting me a beagle, which was my first pet. We went to this big outdoor pen and several were running around; the slowest one was the only one dad could catch and so he's the one we got. He looked just like you described Harry's dog too, which is awesome.

You just gotta love Mia, she's a doll. And I don't think Harry's the jealous type. Ron maybe, but not Harry.
I have a beautiful beagle named Rocky and I just love him to pieces, he acts just like Rosie sometimes, and he got into plenty of trouble as puppy, but I wouldn't trade him for anything. Beagles are so sweet and they are awesome pets. I had several growing up too. I figured Harry deserved one.

In this AU, Voldemort never came for the Potters until Harry was two, so that's why they are all still alive in 1982. I wanted to give Sev and Lily and harry more time together to form family bonds and memories, so that's why I altered the timeline slightly. Hope that answers your question.

Author's Response: Thanks, this was one of my favorites to write, I love a ranting righteous Snape and Dumbledore really deserved it here! And having Harry listen to it made it easier for him to accept Sev as his dad who really loved him and explained why he acted the way he did towards Harry previously.
