Despite the sadness of the story, at least Severus gave Harry a few more months of happiness. If he'd left him in the dumpster, he wouldn't have made it through the night. Good writing--I loved the descriptions of Severus' run down apartment and how resourceful you made him. Nice work. -P.G. Voldemort wants to build an army of young, powerful, and virtually indestructible Death Eaters. How do Harry and Snape fit into that plan? Entrant in the 2009 Prompt Fest. -P.G. Author's Response: Sorry, but on a brighter note...I've been giving out free boxes of tissues!!
Don't fear PG, poor Harry will soon have everything he ever wanted. While he can't bring back Sirius, he'll finally have the father figure he deserves.
-P.G. Author's Response: Yeah....coming up!!
-P.G. Author's Response: Thanks PG!! I can't believe that you reviewed every chappie, that was really nice.
-P.G. Author's Response: Aw, c'mon, I love sappy endings. I can't resist.
You don't honestly think that I'm that evil. Even the EDQ wouldn't do that!! Yeah, I'm fond of old Snapey-poo too. (Please don't tell him that I said that!)

I'm really enjoying this fic! -P.G. Author's Response: Yeah, Harry was very confused over his own conflicting emotions. Severus may be a reserved man, who keeps his emotions close to the chest, but he'd never physically abuse a child, even though he hasn't been above psychologically abusing one. He's always made excuses for his own maltreatment of Harry, but now he's forced to examine his own shortcomings and really see Harry for who he is. He's had to admit that Harry is not all he thought that he was. He's had to admit that the boy has been though hell and back, and some of it was at Snape's own hands.
Severus is determined to make up for it, without giving up his pride. Not an easy feat!
Thank you P.G.
-P.G. Author's Response: I think that Dumbledore was hoping that the potion would force them to really see deep inside of each other, but the hard work is for each of them to let go of their pre-conceptions of each other.
-P.G. Author's Response: Aw, but Dumbleydore has plans, within plans doesn't he? The greater good and all that... But I really do think that he wants these two to put aside their differences, and he really does care about both of them, and he is very old and although positively barmey, he is brilliant! He knows things about this potion that Harry doesn't. Also, he knows how much Severus loved Lily, and that with just a little push, that maybe he'll care about her son as well.
-P.G. Author's Response: The abuse part was hard to write, but I had a lot of fun turning Vernon and Petunia into farm animals. I just thought that Moody is crazy enough to do something like that, and Kingsley is the voice of calm reason, with his deep, soothing voice. I find Kingsley sexy in the moviies!
I think that you are exactly right about Dudley. I'm sure that that was flashing through his mind. How horrifying to see your own father treat your family that way, and ever since the incident with the Dementors, Dudley has really been doing some soul searching, and not liking what he's seeing. After all...he's done some of his OWN abuse towards Harry, hasn't he? |
