About me:

Hi, I'm Jan. :D I love Snape and Harry fics, and just mentor fics in general. I first started Potions and Snitches (P&S) as a safe place to find Snape & Harry gen fics without stumbling into Snape and Harry slash (aka Snarry, or HP/SS).

Fandoms that I like to read fanfiction of include: Star Trek, Star Wars, Kung Fu : The Legend Continues, Dragonball Z, Stargate SG1, Batman, Angel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I like Gen and Mentor fics mostly. I love hurt/comfort, angst, whump, drama, raw emotions, and vivid descriptions best.

I know how to make and edit graphics, icons, and layouts (html and css). I am a master web searcher. XD

My dreams? One day I'd like to be able to run up a mountain effortlessly, or at least easily. :) I'd like to see Potions and Snitches host every single good Snape and Harry Gen fic there ever existed. I'd like to have people who post here get 100 reviews a chapter. I'd like active-to-the-bursting challenges and contests. I want the site to be a great, fun place that readers of Snape and Harry fics loved and knew as active.

    Nice little scene in the life of Harry. :) I thought that your characterization of harry was nice, and you managed to capture the hustle and bustle of the streets. You did have some puncuation mistakes and such, like saying Snape was at least 6 ft 4 ". That's REALLY tall. You needed to add a little bit more in the story, descriptions perhaps but not of the people, more like descriptions of everything going on.

    Awesome story. :) Nice angst. And it's so plausible to be canon. I really like this story.

    Ah, just so you know, I think I accidently deleted this story that you posted, I was sure that I hit the Validation button but the story was gone so I had to go Fanfiction.net and steal and post the story from there. That's what this one is. XD I hope that I didn't miss too many things, can you check it? :\ Sorry about that. It's probably a bug.

    Thankies :D   It\'s not a problem (bout the FFnet thing).  I think the only thing that was different between the two was that I fixed the line breaks for over here.. but that\'s not a big deal at all.

    hehehe.. I enjoyed the part with the Billywings best I think, as well as just the all around banter between Harry and Snape. XD I liked how you managed to have Harry say out of character things and get away with it- I liked your definition of his chaarcter- it was different and he was more like a teenage real person. And of course, the magic walkie talkie cups following them all was funny too. The only thing that didn't make as much sense was why didn't Snape just follow the string of Harry's cup to find him? But that was minor and didn't really distract me, merely made me wonder. Great story! 8 points!

    I wonder who the three people are: the boy who could fly without wings (Harry?), the man who's heart bled (Severus?) (Remus?), the man who was dead (Deumbledore?) (Albus)?. Is the Moon lily or just a powerful being? I bet that the dog is Sirius. This is a lovely story so far.

     But did you mean for it to be a round robin? A round robin means that anyone else can write a second chapter to it, ir a third, or a fourth, all the way until it is completed.

    As always you arethe first to give me support.  I just love you!  I am glad you liked it.  It is a new theme for me too and I hope I am up to it.  I also read the chapter more than 20 times to make sure it is right theme-wise, plot-wise, grammar, spellinga nd punctuation wise, and I have to admit I am so pleased with myself for the result.

    *_* Yay. I'd list everything I loved about it but I think you already read all of them. Te he. :) Now I want more!! More!! I love this story so far. One thing I would have changed, that I think i forgot to mention in my review last time was how the girl mentioned how they were thinking that they might be transfered to Hogwarts. That came a little too soon, a little too forward. It might have been better to have Harry make friends, and have him and the readers delight in the company and friendship of these Snape's before we all discover that they are going to hogwarts- then it would have been like a joyous feeling. It's probably wasted more so early.

    Sorry I didn't write a review before, I just sort of noticed that there was a new chapter, so I had to say something. XD Great chapter! I really like how Harry has been "studying" the Snape children and how we get to look at them through Harry's eyes. The part about Harry writing character studies, however, seemed a little off, more like something of the write (you or me) coming through rather than Harry's attributes. I liked how the children at the lunch table had a "you eat whatever you get" look, that was cute. And Harry realizing that he had been colouring with a child all day? Priceless! The ending was great, what a cliffhanger! But why did it have to be a cliffhanger? You better update soon! :) hehe.

    One thing I noticed that may need some work is that there was a little too much filler. We all sometimes change our writing styles as we grow and learn. Filler is something that isn't so great in stories, particularly fanfiction because readers read to get a fast "hit", they want the part they will most enjoy and as much of it as possible while still keeping the story real. You made a good show expressing Harry's awkwardness but the filler made it less potent.

    Thanks for posting this chapter! :) Nice nervous, pain to the gut ending.
