About me:

Hi, I'm Jan. :D I love Snape and Harry fics, and just mentor fics in general. I first started Potions and Snitches (P&S) as a safe place to find Snape & Harry gen fics without stumbling into Snape and Harry slash (aka Snarry, or HP/SS).

Fandoms that I like to read fanfiction of include: Star Trek, Star Wars, Kung Fu : The Legend Continues, Dragonball Z, Stargate SG1, Batman, Angel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I like Gen and Mentor fics mostly. I love hurt/comfort, angst, whump, drama, raw emotions, and vivid descriptions best.

I know how to make and edit graphics, icons, and layouts (html and css). I am a master web searcher. XD

My dreams? One day I'd like to be able to run up a mountain effortlessly, or at least easily. :) I'd like to see Potions and Snitches host every single good Snape and Harry Gen fic there ever existed. I'd like to have people who post here get 100 reviews a chapter. I'd like active-to-the-bursting challenges and contests. I want the site to be a great, fun place that readers of Snape and Harry fics loved and knew as active.

    Ohhhhh. Noooooooo!!!! Marble!!!!! Poor Harry! I hope Snape is understanding that this was not Harry's fault. I hope the situation looks like Harry didn't do it. I really, really hope Marble can be fixed!

    Fantastic! I love that Snape just forgot Harry in the display cabinet, and then once he remembered he shot off in alarm. I wonder what trouble Harry got himself into in that special collection of probably very expensive figures. I really liked the description of the Lily figurine. It was like a personality or emotion was attributed to Lily Evans in the description of the horse, which is something Harry would likely be amazed by. He doesn't know what his mother was like, Snape knows what she was like enough to pick a certain figurine to represent her as a shrine. Wow. I would love to see an illustration of that figurine and Harry looking at it. If I were good at art I'd do it myself.

    Good thing Harry went and got Snape when he did, even if it cost Snape a potion. I wonder what would of happened if Harry had just waited, and Lucius arrived. A close call, to be sure! Your story is really imaginative and descriptive, and at times humorous. I am loving it. Thanks so much for all the updates and new chapters!

    Awesome, awesome, awesome chapter! I wonder what Hermione and Ron are doing there. But if Snape mentions the ingredients of course Hermione will remember what they were making in second year. Maybe Moody, er Crough will be caught early this time. Or at least maybe they'll know to watch his every move and save Harry from a portkey trophy. Great writing! Thanks so much for the update!

    Fantastic start! I love the premise and idea behind how Hary gets to school. I wonder if he will get his Hogwarts letter by owl and if Snape's son will recognize it as coming from magic. I love the possibilities and can't wait to read more!
